Description

Coastal village. Rabbitrock Retreat is located towards the end of a dirt road among wildflower meadows and apple trees, quiet except for the sound of birds and distant church bells. It is named after a local landmark Rabbit Rock that exists in the woods near our house, known only by select locals who used to say you could “always catch a rabbit at Rabbit Rock”. It is a place of abundance for sure, and we are happy to get to share it. The space The house in which the guest suite resides is a unique, custom-made house that we began building ourselves 20 years ago. Tucked into the woods, the guest suite is separated from the main house by wooden sliders, has a private entrance, and a large spacious deck. Tons of glass in the unit connects you to the stars, the trees and fireflies. Though often active with the sounds of children and people working, it is a quiet and peaceful place. The kitchen area currently consists of a small fridge, sink, electric kettle, toaster oven, microwave, and hotplate. Take a hot shower under the stars in our outdoor shower or if feeling more private there is your own indoor bathroom with cedar shower, toilet and sink. Guest access Your separate unit includes 1 large bedroom full of windows which opens onto your own private deck. The separate living/eating area includes a small kitchenette, dining table and single bed/sofa for an additional guest. There is a firepit and small grill for use outside. Other things to note Our property is a perpetually evolving active rural homestead with various projects, gardens and ongoing improvements . The guest suite is attached to our house, separated not by a fully insulated wall but by sliding wooden doors in the entrance room, which lock on both sides. While it does have a private entrance, private bathroom, and a deck of your own, it is not a stand alone house as the term "entire place" might imply.
