Cotswold Hideaway with Stunning Views

Nestled in one of Stroud’s five valleys in an area of outstanding natural beauty is the cotswold town of Nailsworth. Our self-catering cottage offers all of the home comforts you'd expect for a relaxing break as well as a barbecue area and fire pit to keep everyone entertained in the private garden. Perfect if you are seeking some rest & relaxation in a truly peaceful part of the countryside. The space Our ex-mill workers cottage is set over 3 floors in a slightly unusual layout with the master bedroom, second (child's) bedroom and family bathroom on the first floor, living room and kitchen/diner on the ground floor and then a small third en-suite bedroom on the lower ground floor. Externally there is a front garden laid to lawn and a large terraced back garden with a decking area enjoying fabulous views of the valley. Free on street parking is available directly in front of the house. The space comfortably houses 4 guests or 6 by making use of the double sofa bed in the front room. We offer incredible access to many beautiful walks from the doorstep, with the Cotswold Way only a short distance away. Our place is a 15 minute walk from Nailsworth town centre which has an excellent selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. And with some of the UK's most popular towns and cities within a short drive (Stroud (15 mins), Tetbury (20 mins), Cirencester (30 mins), Cheltenham (45 mins), Bristol (45 mins)) the opportunities for adventure are endless. Guest access Our recommended mode of transport is by car due to our rural location. There is space for two cars to park against the picket fence on the road in front of the cottage. You can get to us via public transport if this is your preferred option. The closest train station is Stroud and there are bus links between Stroud and Nailsworth (these are not 24 hour). The bus will drop you in the centre of Nailsworth which is about a 15 minute walk from our place. If the buses aren't running you may need to take a taxi from Stroud to Nailsworth. Feel free to ask if you require more detailed instructions on the local public transport. Other things to note As is the general nature of cottages, the rooms are relatively small and cosy. It is worth noting the ceiling height in bedroom 3 and its ensuite bathroom is 6ft 3inches (great for the majority of people but may be a consideration for anyone who is 6ft + or looking for particularly large rooms). The queen bed in bedroom 3 is positioned against the wall so it is accessible from one side only.
