Pet friendly side by side duplex on a city park.

Our property is located on a quiet residential street with a new playground and large grass area in the back yard. We are located just blocks from the Mississippi River where there are local concerts every Thursday at MC Crossings. You can also rent pontoon boats on the river through My Boat Club. We are very close to Elm Creek Park Reserve. You can access miles of street/mountain biking/ski trails right from this home. If you’re looking for fancy, we are not your jam. Homey and MN cozy. The space Our space is very Minnesota! Homey, cozy, cabin-like with all the comforts of home! Our home was built in 1969 with an addition added on our side of the home in 1999 making our part of the home two stories to accommodate for our growing family. Now that our children have all moved out, we Airbnb the other side of the home, which is one story. Because the Airbnb is older, the home has a full concrete basement with a newly added bathroom and updated family room. The laundry area is older but has a good working washer and dryer. We have replaced all upstairs interior doors and are continually trying to make updates. The upstairs bathroom will hopefully be remodeled as time permits. We also know we have some painting updates to do. The garage is for our use only. If you bring bikes or other recreational items, you are welcome to bring them inside the unit and store in the basement. Please use the yard as much as you wish, and if you see us on our deck, we hope you will say hello! We provide a roll of paper towels and a good amount of toilet paper. If you need more, please let me know and I will be happy to provide within reason. We advertise as pet friendly. There is a $100 pet fee for up to two dogs. No other animals allowed. Please treat the supplies I provide like linens and comforters with care. My throw pillows and blankets are hard to clean with pet hair, so I am finding that I cannot provide such items in quantity. I hope to continue this service because I know how important our pets are and wish to continue allowing pets. Too many people allow their pets to leave mud and hair on my nice bedding. I provide a dog blanket for your pets. To give you insight into how I set my pricing, costs in our area have gone up considerably. We live two blocks off the Mississippi River corridor. This past year the City of Champlin has done an amazing restoration adding a pavilion, conference center, play area with a climbing wall, live music every Thursday with food trucks and a Boat Club. Our taxes have gone up by 30 percent. As we also pay all utilities, they have also gone up considerably. We pay for gas, electric, water, and garbage removal. We live in a very desirable area of Champlin, so please consider these items when assessing pricing. I’ve added a faux leather chase lounger in the living room. If you push the back of the lounger all the way forward and then lay it all the way back, it will lay flat. Could be used for a sleeping space. It has about three incline settings for your reclining. There is about 700 square feet upstairs and 700 downstairs. There is also a double futon in the basement and a blow up bed in the upstairs bedroom closet. I am also licensed by the City of Champlin. I have regular inspections to ensure that I am compliant with their requirements for a safe environment. Guest access Guests have their own driveway. There is also free street parking from 6:00 am - 2:00 am, which means parking in the street between 2:00 am and 6:00 am may result in a ticket. We are just off all major highway corridors nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Accessing freeways is easy without the noise of traffic. Other things to note We do have two dogs and they bark sometimes when we’re gone. This home belongs to my husband and our pets, and we appreciate tolerance and respect for those that live here. Please also be kind to our neighbors, as most have dogs too. Our neighbor has a fenced in area next to the driveway. When their dog is out, he may bark when he sees you coming. He is not friendly to people or dogs. Having said that, please know I will do everything in my power to make your stay comfortable. If our animals are causing an annoyance, I will address the issue in as timely a manner as I can. (NOTE: May not be a suitable location for third shift professionals who sleep during the day.) I like to keep my gardens a little wild to provide for the pollinators, so you may see milkweed in garden areas and bee balm for the honey bees and monarch butterflies. Side note: My category says I live 10 mins. from a lake, which I do not. Trying to edit this feature but can’t seem to change it. Elm creek runs through our neighborhood, and we are two blocks from the Mississippi River but there is no lake within ten mins. Elm Creek Park Reserve has a man made lake, which is about a mile 20- min drive. However, we are less than a mile from the bike trails of Elm Creek Park reserve.
