If you're looking for a unique romantic retreat, a couples getaway or just an excuse to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of city life, then the 'quilters loft' is your answer. Situated 90 mins from the Melbourne CBD on a 7 acre farmlet - Twiddle Farm, the 'quilters loft' offers a 2 bedroom home away from home for adults only, packed with plenty of modern farmhouse appeal. The space Twiddle Farm is set amongst the rolling hills of Arawata surrounded by picturesque farmland. As a guest of the 'quilters loft' you can expect to feel the peace and tranquility that comes with the seclusion of the property. The 'quilters loft' is part of a larger American barn with the downstairs of the barn being once home to the iconic 'Quilters Barn'. Please note it is only the upstairs of the barn that is accessible to guests. As part of its uniqueness, the loft can only be accessed by an external staircase, so please bear this in mind if you have any mobility issues. Inside your home away from home you will find all that you need for a comfortable stay. A self catering breakfast package is included, and you will receive a welcome package of wine and cheese to indulge in on arrival. The kitchen is fully equipped for those of you who may love to cook, and a small number of pantry items are provided to help you along your way. As a loft, the nature of the space means that you will need to be mindful of the sloped ceilings, particularly as you hop in and out of bed. While the space has been optimised to its full extent, any basketball players should take particular note 😉. Guest access Twiddle Farm is a joy to live at and we would like you to feel at home. While you have your own private space outside the 'quilters loft' you are more than welcome to walk around the property and visit our thriving small orchard full of seasonal greats including peaches, plums, nectarines, figs, kiwi fruit, apples, cherries, oranges and pears. We have plans of increasing our orchard space and over time will have more delights for you to choose from. Our resident fleece and feathered family are also available for you to pat and chat with. They are incredibly friendly and love a scratch or two from all who visit. Please let us know if you are wanting to meet/feed them - we are only too happy to oblige. While they are incredibly friendly, your safety is important to us and farm animals can be unpredictable, so it is important that you never enter a paddock where the animals are. Other things to note We love both children and animals but for various reasons we have a strict no children and no pet policy. The 'quilters loft' has been designed for adults only, so please be mindful of this when considering us for your getaway. Like most farming properties water is very precious to us. As we are totally reliant on the rain Gods and our water tanks, we ask that you are mindful of this when using the water resources. There is approximately 1km of unsealed gravel road to enter the property. The road also shares access with cattle and tractors so please be mindful of this when entering the road. We love supporting organisations who do good for others. You will notice that many of the products that we supply are purchased on this basis. We like to be upfront about our pricing structure so here are the details...... ❖ A daily self-catering breakfast package including additional pantry items is provided. ❖ A welcome package on arrival including a bottle of wine and cheese ❖ The nightly rate is based on 2 guests. Each additional guest is charged at a rate of $30/night.
