Located in the Lake District, sitting in the foothills of the Northern Fells with great views of Skiddaw and the surrounding mountains. A great base for exploring the beauty of the Lake District, offering a quiet and peaceful retreat from the crowded towns, with easy access to Keswick, Derwent Water & Borrowdale (12 miles), Bassenthwaite Lake & Skiddaw (5 miles) and onwards to Ambleside & Windermere. The space Double bedroom with on-suite bathroom with bath/shower, including walk-in wardrobe. Oil heating. Large elegant drawing room with seating. Large modern kitchen and terrace. Gardens and property to the River Ellen which runs through the property. During your stay You are welcome to share the use of the traditional kitchen at any time. I am usually around in the mornings. There will be a selection of breakfast cereals, fruit and bread available for you to help yourself. You are welcome to make tea or coffee at any time. If the weather is warm it is often nice to eat outside. I am happy to cook and serve a full breakfast any morning at an additional cost of £10 per person. Currently, I am busy working at home but have some flexibility so if you wish to extend your stay for up to three days either before or after the dates please let me know. There is a large garden, a patio with fire pit and beautiful rural view for you to enjoy. Other things to note Honour system for milk from farm in village, and local grown veg when in season, local eggs, herb garden on property.
