Although the Waitakere Ranges trails are mostly closed to visitors, Ahu is situated within a 5 minute walk of trails such as the spectacular Mercer Bay Loop and Comans Track to Karekare beach Other things to note Like most Piha properties Ahu has a septic tank and relies on tank water. This means thoughtful water use during dry season via taking short showers. The septic tank can not cope with any sanitary items, diapers etc so please dispose of these via normal rubbish collection.
