Located on a 68-acre working farm, the cottage sits in a peaceful valley surrounded by rolling hills, pastures and woods. Relax and enjoy the tranquility of the country. Get a taste of farm life. Or enjoy outdoor activities available in the area. Come enjoy our little piece of heaven! The space The cottage is the original farmhouse on the family farm. It has been renovated to include modern conveniences, while retaining the charm of the past. Guests may enjoy preparing meals in the country style kitchen. Cookware, dishes, glassware and silverware are stocked for convenience. Large lawn with room for kids and dogs to play. Outdoor area with gas grill and a fire pit to build a fire on chilly nights. High speed Internet/Wifi is provided in the home, but please be aware that service that some cell phone carriers may be spotty. Verizon is the most reliable carrier in the area. You will receive a message prior to check in time with the host's phone number and the Smartlock code. It is recommended that you take note of the information prior to arriving at the cottage. Guest access Guests have full access to the cottage and yard. Feel free to sit on the porch of the quaint little “smokehouse” out back, but the interior is reserved for host’s use. For the safety of our guests and animals, permission is required to access farm. Many of our animals are friendly and will love meeting you. Some may be more aloof. If you let me know, I will be glad to introduce you to the friendly animals and tell you about them. The country road is great for a relaxing walk or exhilarating run and a great place to take your dogs for a walk. Other things to note Verizon cell phones usually work here; other carriers may be spotty. There are lots of deer, so be careful driving, especially at night. We are a farm with farm animals, snakes, bugs, etc. and can’t have folks unexpectedly roaming around due to liabilities. Please ask before you interact with the animals or set out for a hike on the farm. Indoor dogs are allowed but must be on a leash when outside and crated anytime left alone inside. Please let me know if you will be having cats, as I have to plan to do extra cleaning due to allergies of some potential guests.
