This cosy detached room with ensuite has a deck with fabulous mountain views. This open plan room can accommodate a maximum of 3 people. A washing machine & dryer are available for guest use in another building until 8.30 pm. Due to guest demand for a room only rate we now supply continental breakfast provisions @ extra $15 per person. Please advise when booking if you wish to purchase breakfast. Please note to access there are a number of steps & it is approx 25 m from the car park. The space This room contains a queen bed, a single bed, ensuite bathroom, microwave, kettle & toaster with small fridge. There are no cooking facilities however during summer the local pub/cafe is just 500m down the road and is open until 8.30 pm for evening meals. Please note there are a number of steps and it is approx 25 metres from the car park. Guest access Guests have access to their room and the garden areas. We often have a lamb (in spring) and/or a couple of cows in the paddock. During your stay Hosts Rick & Kenna live on site in another building and are happy to help guests with any queries or to help to plan any activities if they wish. They assist with the high school bus run to Wanaka for students in the area 3 days a week. Other things to note For those looking for outdoor adventure try the acclaimed FLY WALK JETBOAT trips Siberia Wilderness Walk or Siberia Experience... fish the awesome natural rivers... take your boat on the lakes with the closest boat ramp just 10 mins away... jetboat river access is just down the road... tramp/hike the amazing Gillespie Pass Track... stroll down to the renowned Blue Pools... explore Haast & Jackson Bay on the West Coast which are a comfortable day excursion away with plenty of less demanding short walks on the way... there is something here for everyone! For the winter oriented Cardrona, Snow Farm & Treble Cone ski fields are just 70 minutes drive from Makarora. AND of course every 2 years the world famous Warbirds over Wanaka occurs... get out of the rat race that Wanaka becomes and stay in the tranquility of Makarora.
