The Cordovan Cabin

This 1000sq log cabin is two bedrooms. A queen, 2 twins and a queen pullout couch in the living room sleeps two. This private retreat is behind a small chicken farm with cats. Offering A fully equipped kitchen +paper towels, soaps, salt pepper propane grill, t.v. Wi-Fi,DVD, toilet paper, soaps shampoos towels. A washer and dryer available for use. Family books, games,some art supplies in a separate work, craft room. The backyard offers a wood fire circle with wood cut from the land. The space This cozy cabin located on a farm secured by docile chickens. Easy access to all Mount Desert Island Maine has to offer. The kitchen has been recently updated. Granite counter tops and a propane range. WIFI. A flat screen TV in living room and one in the master bed room. Spectrum is the new provider of tv and internet. . A queen size bed in the master and two twins in the second bedroom. The living room has a full size pull out couch. Off the kitchen Sliding glass doors lead out to the covered deck with the grill. Sleeps 4 comfortably possible to sleep 6 if small children. *********** Acadia a new reservation policy for the sumit of Cadillac. You will need to go onto the Acadia park website and follow their instructions. the rest of the park is open to park pass holders. ************ The kitchen is stocked with many food items. Either provided by us or donated from previous guests. Guest are encouraged to also leave useful and edible staples and condiments. We provide may items from coffee teas to olive oil, cereals, condiments, and cooking staples. There is bedding, towels, soaps, shampoos. So many wonderful things to do and see here. The national park is 7 miles away. During the summer The island is a bustle of visitors..Island explorer busses run from June through October Just up the street are several lobster pounds and the most glorious sunsets!! Across the street lives the best local clam and mussel harvester! One can get live lobsters and other seafood from the Trenton bridge pound. one mile away from the cabin. There is a fire circle out back. we provide wood and are happy to light it for you weather providing. Guest access The cabin is surrounded by an arboreal forest. The whole upstairs of the cabin is for guests to enjoy. This cabin has amenities of a family or business ready rental: wifi, soaps, towels linens, open door checkin with a key and a personal welcome note. There is a washer and dryer in the basement for guests to use. The rest of the basement is storage for tools and supplies. There is plenty of parking in the spacious flat driveway in front of the 2bay garage( owners garage) Guests are asked to park in the gravel driveway and not on the lawn past the logs. The kitchen has an assortment of most condiments and paper towels and seran wrap..and the bathroom has towels, soaps, shampoos toilet paper, bandaids, feminine needs. Guests are asked to contact Bethany if they would like to meet and have a tour of the front private farm. to refrain from wandering around the front property without permission. Guests are welcome to walk up and down the shared driveway. but do not go wander around private buildings. Other things to note Welcome to the Cordovan Cabin 2026! We have been able to make some much needed upgrades. new hardwood floors, a remodeled bathroom and new updated steps doors and windows. Because of the issues of pet dander, scratching , peeing, left inside cabin with out owners present.. We have decided No Pets. This means no service pets too. emotional issues with our own service animals has led myself as a host to have no more guests with pets , we're constantly in emotional trauma when guests brought their dogs. Do not book if you plan to sneak a dog in. Our animals know and will tell us. We Do Not allow our animals into the cabin unless it is a necessary walk thru to tell me where guests pets soiled or to check for mice. The cabin is in very good shape for the 2025 season.
