Guest suite in Athens

Enjoy a clean, comfortable 1600+ sq ft basement suite in a residential home just 20 minutes from UGA and all that downtown Athens has to offer. Please Note Before Booking: This is a basement unit located directly below our main living space. Also, a cat and small dog (Maltese) live in the space during the week when it is not rented. Though they are not present during guest stays and the unit is thoroughly cleaned, this space may not be suitable for guests with pet allergies. The space Private walkout basement with a large den with a separate dining area that also serves as a nice workspace. Enter the suite through the private entrance into the Queen bedroom. King bedroom is located at the other end of the suite and has a Roku TV for streaming. The Den has a 55” Roku TV for streaming your favorite content. Lots of books, puzzles, board games and 90’s VHS & DVD movies. For those wanting to watch sports or other cable programs on TV: You can access most channels and sports programs through your own cable account if they aren’t free inside one of the TV's apps. Depending on the event, some sports programs could be accessed on your laptop/tablet and you can hook it to the HDMI cable attached to the TV. (You will need your own HDMI adapter for attaching to a tablet if it doesn’t have an HDMI port). Since there is not a kitchen, this is a great place for guests who don’t plan on cooking while they are here. ☺️ (who wants to cook when there are so many great restaurant options nearby?!) The dining area has a full-size fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker with pods and condiments. Enjoy some complementary cold sodas, water and snacks. There's high-speed wi-fi access throughout the space. Guest access Guests have full private access to the basement. You will enter/exit the house through the basement door with keypad. Other things to note Access to the space is NOT handicapped accessible. There is no access to a full kitchen. You can have food delivered or enjoy eating carry out in the dining area. No parties, loud activities or events allowed on property. No unregistered guests after 10pm.
