Lakeside Retreat

Enjoy a retreat from your routine at this unique and charming, lakeside A-Frame home just 40 minutes from downtown Minneapolis. Close to biking & walking trails and Baker Park Reserve recreation area. The lake is also popular with fishing enthusiasts all year round. Don't spend 3 hours driving north to "get away" when you can arrive and begin to relax much more quickly. Our guests have access to the entire home. Come work from the lake for a week or more! The space - 3 Bedrooms: 1 king bed (loft), 1 queen (lower level), and a double bed (lower level) - one day bed (Bonus space in the loft area) - 3 Bathrooms: 1 full bathroom with tub & shower (lower level), 3/4 bath with walk-in tile & glass shower (main level), 1/2 bath (loft/master bedroom) - Spacious, open concept Great Room includes nicely appointed and fully equipped kitchen, indoor dining space, relaxing seating, and lake views. There is an adjoining outdoor dining space and comfortable seating on the newly built, expansive deck. - Our fully functional kitchen is stocked with plenty of tableware, flatware and drinkware, cooking implements, and several small appliances and amenities: microwave, drip coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc. - Lower level Family Room provides a comfortable space for TV viewing, playing games or doing puzzles, and relaxing. The space also provides gorgeous views of the lake and includes a large TV & a variety of games. - Maximum number of sleeping guests is 6; no more than 10 people at any time are allowed on the property. - outdoor charcoal grill - beautiful views from living areas, including the loft bonus space Activities: - Biking/Walking/Cross-Country Skiing/ Snowshoeing trails nearby - Golf nearby - Plentiful foliage to enjoy spectacular fall colors - Fully recreational lake with public boat launch - Dock space available to tie up your boat (no boat lift) and space to park your boat trailer - Out of respect for our neighbors, "Loud" parties are not allowed. Guest access entire home, yard, & lakefront with dock (in season) Other things to note Our home has a security system, including an alarm, smoke detectors, and exterior cameras. Train tracks are located across the road in front of the house (opposite the lake) and trains run by on a regular basis. They can be loud, but closing the windows helps minimize the noise. The lake is fully recreational and popular for fishing, skiing, and in some areas, swimming. The lake bottom is soft and weedy, which means that water quality near the shore and around the dock may prohibit swimming.
