Description

We are not open. A 4m bell tent suitable for a couple is set in a private orchard with exclusive use of a rustic, open fronted covered outdoor kitchen and covered seating/dining area set amongst the trees with great views. There is a fire pit and compost loo. Provides a tranquil, rustic, countryside hideaway with fabulous views, miles of footpaths to explore and perfect for star gazing. Return to nature, escape from screens and relax! Please bring your own pillows and duvet or sleeping bags. The space The open-fronted reclaimed timber kitchen area is equipped with all the basics and has a camping cooker with two burners and small grill. Drinking water is from our Mountain Spring which is filtered and pumped the kitchens single, cold water only, tap. There is a cool box (pre frozen ice packs are provided) and another box for food storage. If you fancy a great pub meal, a drink or two and a warm welcome, the Cross Keys, Llanfynydd only a mile away (they have outdoor tables if you prefer). There is a double bed with mattress protector and sheet, just bring your own pillows and preferred bedding, either duvet or sleeping bags. Please bring slippers or flat shoes to wear inside the tent, there is a box outside to leave your outdoor shoes in. There are some solar lights but please bring a torch or head torch. The tent is unheated so bring layers and maybe a hot water bottle if you feel cold at night. There is a compost loo but please note we do not have a shower. There is a fire pit come BBQ to toast your marshmallows on. If you are feeling a little more energetic, there are footpaths leading off up to Waun-y-Llyn Country Park, or down to Coed Talon Marsh, an area of Special Scientific Interest. Nearby there is Moel Famau, Moel Arthur and the Clwydian Range to explore or head towards Llangollen to Worlds End where there is outdoor rock climbing, canoeing, walks along the canal and more. At nearby Llandegla’s One Planet you can enjoy the footpaths or bike tracks around the forest or if you prefer the beach Llandudno is just an hour away. If you want a little retail therapy it’s only 12 miles to the City of Chester or the lovely small Welsh town of Mold is only 5 miles away passing one of the most haunted houses in the country, Plas Teg. If you are looking for a cultural experience, Mold has a great venue in Theatre Clwyd. Please note, mobile phone reception can be patchy for some networks. No dogs allowed I’m afraid, this is sheep country! No smoking in or near the tent and no candles (we have battery operated candles for your use). Guest access Parking is near our house with access to the private orchard opposite.
