A simple, earthy offgrid cottage, built with reclaimed timbers and handmade mudbricks. The Mudbrick Cottage is a peaceful and inviting space where natural living meets beauty. The Cottage has a rustic charm with exposed wood beams, high ceilings, a wood fire, and a newly built deck to enjoy the call of wildlife. The space A cosy retreat for nature lovers, couples, bike riders and bush walkers. The property is completely off grid, with power coming from the sun, and water from the rain. If the sun has not been out much, you may hear the hum of the generator powering up the batteries for a short time. Heating is via a wood heater, which will be ready to light when the weather cools, and ample fire wood available to you. A fan is available for cooling in the summer. Please note that due to being off grid, electric cars can not be charged on the property. The bedroom is a truly restful space, with an amazingly comfortable queen bed, perfect for tucking yourself in for an early night, or for a lazy morning in bed. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a gas oven and stove top, bar fridge with small freezer, pots and pans, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, everything you need for a foodie's weekend away! Continental breakfast is provided, so you can start your day off with a relaxing breakfast in bed, or perhaps in the garden and enjoy our fresh mountain air. A blue tooth speaker is provided, so bring your tunes along! The cottage does not have a television or wi fi, but trust us, you will enjoy unplugging. Don't worry though, mobile coverage is good, so you can stay connected if need be. Guest access Your space includes the cottage, which has one bedroom with a queen bed, full kitchen, lounge room and bathroom. The loft is perfect for reading or even yoga practise. There is a front deck and back deck with outdoor chairs and table plus cottage garden. The carport is yours with space to park two cars. We provide a continental breakfast which includes a lovely gluten free muesli , a loaf of sourdough bread, both made locally in the Yarra Valley and some free-range eggs. We also provide milk (please let us know if you would prefer a dairy free alternative), juice and condiments for toast, a selction of teas, and locally roasted Silva coffee. Other things to note It can get quite cold in the Yarra Valley, please make sure you bring warm clothes!
