Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. Open the front door into a bright sunroom with seating, then continue into the main living area. The main floor has one of the double beds, full bathroom, and the kitchen! The kitchen features a cute little breakfast nook that looks out at Juncob Lake and the beach! In the living room there are two couches and additional seating! The fireplace is thermostat controlled and fueled by propane. Upstairs there are more beds for up to six guests to sleep under angles ceilings! Guests have access to over 100 acres of trails through White Pine and Birch forests, an authentic Finnish sauna, the shipwreck deck, a private beach, and private river access. In the summer the boathouse is stocked with row boats, kayaks, canoes, and a paddle boat. There are many other outdoor games such as croquet and horseshoes at your disposal! Typically we meet guests when they arrive but self check-in is also an option. We do live on the property so rest assured, we are only a call or text away! The Bunkhouse is a part of Pinecrest Northwoods, a wilderness retreat with over 100 acres of trails, an authentic Finnish sauna, and access to the Michigamme River and Juncob Lake. During the summer you can enjoy boating, fishing, hiking and most other outdoor activities. In the winter expect to have plenty of snow for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling, or enjoy a day of ice fishing on Juncob Lake. The resort is very easily accessed and is located only about 1 mile from the M95 highway. Drive down River Road until you see the first bridge on the right, then cross over The Michigamme River into Pinecrest and we WELCOME you to our Northwoods paradise! The driveway will quickly lead you to a paved parking area for your convenience. We love being able to share our cabins with everyone interested in visiting them. It is a place we find special and we hope you do to! + PETS + Pinecrest Northwoods is pet friendly! In fact, we would love it if you brought your pet! Please confirm with us prior to booking. A $25/pet fee is applied upon booking. You will also be charged for any pet damages including but not limited to: chewed, scratched, or damaged items. While on our property it is ok to have your dog off leash if they are supervised. We leave our Golden Retriever Spencer off leash during the day while we are out and about. In an effort to keep all of our guests comfortable and safe we ask you to keep any dog who is not friendly towards people, animals, or small children on leash at all times. Dog runners are available at several locations throughout the property for anyone who might like to use them. In order for us to continue being pet friendly we ask that you be mindful of these rules, as well as the other guests on the property who may or may not have pets. + FIREWOOD + We sell locally kiln dried firewood bundles on site for all of your campfires + saunas during your stay here at Pinecrest Northwoods. + CLEANING + Our standard for clean is spotless and sanitized! The entire cleaning fee goes to the cleaning person, who is paid a livable wage! + SNOWMOBILING + Pinecrest is located less than a 1/4 mile from the route 18 snowmobile trail. We have plenty of space to park trailers and encourage people to come explore the Republic area trails that connect to the greater UP snowmobile trail network. + HUNTING + We do not allow hunting on the property, but we are happy to host hunters as we are adjacent to thousands of acres of state land!
