Modern cottage with lawns rolling down to the Dawson River in the Manning Valley near Taree. Relax with a glass of champagne in the spa bath, fall in the river or pool, sit by the fire, row a boat, paddle a kayak, ride a mountain bike and more. We have a second identical cottage available 50 metres away but privacy wall makes for great privacy. It is cottage 1 Nundoobah Retreat. The space Your large modern cottage on the bank of the Dawson River (part of the magnificent and unique Manning River system – one of the few double delta river systems in the southern hemisphere) is a secluded hideaway but within 7 min drive of the modern shopping facilities of Taree. The cottage is part of a 2000 acre property, all of which is available for exploration by foot, boat (provided) or mountain bike (provided). If you have children we can provide one or two rollaway beds at additional cost. Guest access The cottage with its magnificent views of the river from bedroom, bathroom and lounge room is yours. In warmer weather you can swim in the river or in the pool and heated spa. In cooler weather you can sip champagne in front of the fireplace (wood and starting material provided) or in the double size spa bath. You are free to explore the property. Other things to note Boating – There is available a small rowboat with an electric motor and a Hobie Kayak – Miarage Outfitter Tandem. If you have your own boat, there is a boat ramp and pontoon and you have access to the entire Manning River system. Golf – Taree golf course is a 4 min drive, Wingham 15 min, the magnificent Tallwoods course at Halliday's Point 35 min, Harrington (nine hole) 30 min, Tuncurry 30 min and Forster 35 min. You are spoiled for choice. Walking – The cottages on a 2000 acre property and there are bushwalks available for anywhere from 15 min to all day. Or you can combine a row boat trip with a walk. Swimming – You can swim in the river. The water is darkened by run-off from the surrounding tea trees but it is a delightful combination of fresh and saltwater with 2 foot tides. There is also a 10 m swimming pool and heated spa available. Tennis – There is available a synthetic grass tennis court and we can make racquets and balls available. Mountain Biking – Two mountain bikes are available for you to explore the property. Bath Spa – If you just want to relax, read a book and sip champagne, your cottage is provided with a double size spa bath – squirt in some soluble soap, turn on the spa and you will have bubbles to your neck. Fireplace – If you visit in the winter months, the midday sun on the mid-North Coast can be quite warm and at night you can sit in front of the indoor fireplace.
