The property is set in between Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor where a good range of walks can be found in both locations. There’s also a wealth of walks and varied range of things to do in the local area. Nearest major towns: Callington, Calstock, Tavistock, Saltash, Launceston, Liskeard and Plymouth City and all are within easy driving distance (you can take the train from Gunnislake (1.5 miles away) directly into Plymouth) With breathtaking rural views across The Tamar Valley (AONB), Dartmoor National Park and is also set within the environs of a UNESCO World Heritage Site for Mining Landscape The Sidings offers a comfy king sized bed, kitchen area with cooking facilities (microwave/convection oven and 2-ring hob), dining table and chairs (which could double up as a work space). Outside there is plenty of garden furniture with a large rattan circular dining table, four chairs with umbrella. There's a small Weber kettle style BBQ, two garden benches and a coffee table. (smoking is permitted outside the property and there is an ashtray on the coffee table for your use) There's free unlimited Wi-Fi with excellent an connection and a Smart TV, so you can easily access your Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts Private parking is right beside the property with plenty of space for a large size vehicle such as a van or motorhome The Sidings and her sister property The Signal Box featured in Time Out, The Daily Mail, Cornwall Live and Ireland Live as Airbnb's listing in the UK that hosted the most marriage proposals and honeymoons in 2023. The open plan layout comprises: Electric heating with radiator and heated towel rail. All windows and doors have privacy blinds, there are USB sockets in some of the plug sockets. It's set in a completely separate and equally private location within the grounds of the Old Station (the two properties are not close to or do they have any access to each other) and offers similar amenities and accommodation. If you are planning to arrive late/after dark, do let us know so that we can put lights on to make your arrival easier in the dark The private gardens and grounds adjoining the property are fully enclosed with stock proof fencing on the boundary adjoining the neighbouring farm fields (which often contain livestock - usually cows or sheep) and a high Cornish stone wall on the boundary behind the property making the grounds safe and secure for visitors with dogs/pets Please note that all the farm fields adjoining and opposite The Sidings are private property and belong to the neighbouring farm so please do not enter or exercise your dogs in these fields. Thank you There is a good selection of varied walks in the local area, a few suggestions below: Kit Hill Country Park: Is just a few minutes drive up hill across the crossroads then can be found a short distance up the hill, on the right hand side or a 10-15 minute steep uphill walk Luckett Ford: Can be found down the hill and first road on the left, at the end of this long narrow, mainly one track road you’ll find the ford, park up and you’ll find a beautiful shaded riverside walk. Greenscombe Woods Nature Reserve: head down hill into Luckett village, just as you enter into the village, turn right and then first left, this leads you into the village car park. Leaving the car park on foot, turn left and walk along the narrow lane to the entrance to the reserve. Dartmoor National Park is within half an hour's drive as is Bodmin Moor. Enjoy!
