Olivette was built in 1886 and is a comfortable cottage that sleeps 5. While very historic, Olivette is a cute, bright, colorful home. It’s mid-town, just a short drive to the Strand or the beach. Or, you could just stay at Olivette - it’s the perfect oasis! There’s a front porch with rocking chairs, perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. Our sparkling pool and patio are very private and cozy. We have high speed WiFi, satellite TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. The space Olivette is a historic home that was built in 1886. Inside it is bright and airy, with colorful art, unique furniture, comfortable linens, and a fully equipped kitchen. Outside you’ll find a front porch with rocking chairs, perfect for morning coffee. In the back patio is a sparking pool - perfect for relaxing. (The pool is professionally maintained year round on Wednesdays by Gautier Pool) and is NOT heated. We have a PK Grill (charcoal) and plenty of quality patio furniture. At night, the overhead cafe lights provide the perfect atmosphere. We love our dogs- they are family!- and allow pets at no extra charge but with a maximum of two. Olivette is the perfect Galveston oasis, or a perfect base to explore our historic and unique town. Guest access Besides our comfortable living room and dining room, there are two private bedrooms and a small enclosed sun porch that has an antique daybed, (it’s next to the bedroom with the king bed, no door to separate them ). There is a full bath (walk-in shower- no tub) off of the bedroom with the queen sized bed. The bedroom with the king bed does not have a private bath but there is a half-bath off of the dining room. The backyard patio and pool area is fully fenced. The cottage has satellite television, high speed internet, a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. We know all of our neighbors and we love our neighborhood! Other things to note This cottage is a 1900 Storm Survivor and it has been raised about seven feet. There are stairs to get into front door and also stairs going into the back yard. The pool is five feet deep and not for diving, also it is not heated. We have twice weekly pool service.
