Braes Retreat is a garden apartment tucked away in the peaceful community of Braes. Just six miles out of Portree, its central location on the island is an ideal base to visit the whole of the Isle of Skye. The apartment sits in an established garden, overlooking the Sound of Raasay, with shore access from the croft. The accommodation within Braes Retreat is perfect for either a couple or two friends as the bedroom can be set up as a double or twin room. The property is set within a glorious garden, which has previously featured on television due to the variety of plants and serene tranquillity created by the burn running through it. The accommodation comprises of the following: Downstairs - A well equiped kitchen area, including gas cooker, fridge and microwave. Open plan lounge and dining area with a wood-burning stove, television, bluetooth speaker, CD player and DVD player. Upstairs - A comfortable bedroom with ever-changing panoramic views across the Sound of Raasay to the mountains of the mainland. A compact ensuite shower room with WC and wash-hand basin. A freezer, washing machine and dryer are available for use on request. Guest access Guests are invited to make the garden their own. Fresh eggs are kindly provided by the chickens daily! Bed linen and towels are provided. Other things to note The bedroom can be reconfigured to two single beds for two friends to share the bedroom. Please let us know you would like this when making a booking. Access to Braes Retreat is via a steep pathway and might not be suitable for those unsure on their feet. We have a friendly collie dog, Penny. If you like dogs, she likes saying hello but will then leave you alone for the rest of your stay, unless you like throwing balls for her! Just to make you aware that your personal property can't be covered by our insurance policy, so we recommend making arrangements for insuring your own items.
