Description
Tigh na Sith is one of the oldest houses on the Isle of Seil, built in the late 1800s and fully modernised yet retaining much of its original character. Sit in the lounge or in any of the bedrooms and watch the Altantic Ocean drift by down Seil Sound in this stunning, tranquil part of Scotland's West Coast. Restore your mind and body, recharge your batteries and relax and enjoy everything this wonderful area has to offer. The space Tigh na Sith is a three bedroomed Victorian stone villa comfortably sleeping 6 people. It is newly refurbished and offers full self-catering accommodation. There is space for three cars to park on the paved driveway, we have a large garden, a barbeque, full electric central heating, wi-fi and first class views of the Atlantic Ocean which is literally right on your doorstep! From any of the windows you could be lucky enough to see local wildlife including deer, who often visit the garden; otters in the ocean outside; herons, pheasants and other lots of other local birds. You reach the house by crossing an 18th Century stone arched bridge, the only bridge to span the Atlantic for hundreds of years until the new bridge at Skye was built. The local pub is an 18th Century inn where Highlanders traditionally changed out of their kilts and into trousers and at the other end of the island, you can enjoy a challenging 9-hole links style golf course. There are many other activities available in the area including Sea-fari tours around local islands, fishing, bird watching, opportunities for painting and drawing, cycling, walking, hiking, canoeing, sailing, sight seeing and stone skimming. The world stone skimming championships are held annually on Easdale next door to Seil! The wonderful night skies are a sight to behold and the famed Northern Lights can be seen on occasions when they are visible in this area of Scotland. Alternatively, you can rest, recuperate and rejuvenate at your leisure enjoying our clean, fresh air and our superb local seafood. All highly recommended! Guest access Guests can use all of the garden area at the front, side and back of the house; the driveway for parking; the barbeque and the rotary dryer.
