Golf courses, hiking, mountain biking, swimming pools, enchanting walks, sandy beaches, Hidden Valley Resort, and Avondale Forest Park 'Beyond the Trees' are all c.15 mins drive away. The space This generously proportioned private loft can be accessed with minimal host contact, it has its own secluded outdoor area from which to drink in the views. Extending to 90sq. m, the recently converted space is finished to a high standard and was designed to ensure cosy, intimate spaces within the larger open plan layout. The sophisticated furnishings add to the sense of comfort, while blackout blinds throughout offer heightened privacy and a good night’s sleep for all. As hosts living on the ground floor of this large house, our ideal guests are families, hikers, golfers or anyone who prefers a quiet house after 11p.m. and also accepts that our household is up and about from 7a.m. in the mornings. In the interest of fairness we want our guests to be aware of this when choosing the loft as it would not be suitable for those who plan to have a late night (from 11p.m.) chatting or socialising giving sleeping children downstairs. If this sounds like you please read on!! Whether you have a busy schedule of activities, or plan to stay put and relax, the loft makes an ideal, well-equipped base. Fibre broadband guarantees decent WiFi connection for all your devices. Why not chill out on the large chaise longue watching Netflix or cook up a storm in the kitchen before enjoying your meal at the generous sized dining table. If lazy mornings are your thing, the breakfast bar is just the place for a hearty cooked breakfast or some delicious fresh bakes from the Avoca food market only a stone's throw away. And don't forget the elevated sunny terrace, where you can sip coffee or have a family picnic looking out at the Irish Sea beyond the rolling fields of Wicklow. The space sleeps a family of four (2 adults and 2 younger children) or a maximum of four adults. We limit the number of guests giving the noise restrictions requested and that one bathroom services the loft. The loft has two bedrooms, one double room and one twin. All beds are freshly made with quality bedding washed at 60 degrees C. Guests staying for more than four nights can request a bedding and towel change, which is pre arranged and at no cost. Bedroom no. 1 has a pullout drawers unit for clothes. Bedroom no. 2 adjacent to the toilet is the master bedroom which has a wardrobe, pullout drawer unit and reading chair. The window in this room has a child safety restrictor. A washing machine, dishwasher, microwave oven, oven/grill and instant hot water are to be expected along with wine glasses and service sets. You should find everything you need from tea towels to pizza cutters to washing powder pods. The modern bathroom is newly built and sports a large electric shower. Remember this is a real loft, so expect some sloping pitches in all spaces and be careful not to bump your head! The loft comes with its own elevated garden, for the exclusive use of guests, which offers stunning views of Ashford and the surrounding area. In fine weather it makes a great place to dine, picnic or even barbecue, if you choose to bring yours along or pick up a disposable one. If you wish to socialise outdoors after 10:00pm, we ask that you hang out in the seating area provided in the elevated garden so our kids can sleep through. We do live in a quite peaceful residential area so do have house rules in order to limit indoor and outdoor noise and respect our neighbours and this is always agreed at the time of booking. We have two school-aged kids, who enjoy playing in our separate family garden. You can therefore expect to hear laughter and voices during the day. The entire property is surrounded by secure fencing as we are adjacent to a large area of woodland. When at home we keep the front gate closed for the safety of our children and would appreciate if guests could also pull the gate across, especially if we are not home. Guests have use of two parking spaces. Other things to note Lock box check in and check out. Host will be onsite to ensure smooth check in.
