The West Wing Suite - Ashlack Hall

Ashlack Hall lies at the head of a valley, which runs westward to the Duddon Estuary in SW Cumbria. A grade 2 listed Manor House, built in the 17th century, with plenty of eccentricity and old world charm. We are both experienced chefs and love to share the joy of our home grown & reared produce with our guests. We offer breakfast every morning at an additional £15/person and our 6 course small plates menu on Friday & Saturday evenings for £65/person. The space The West Wing Suite is a distinctive and eccentric space. This unique suite offers a perfect blend of art, comfort, and character, ideal for those seeking a stay that is truly special. On the lower floor, you'll find a private living area, complete with a work space, offering an ideal environment for both relaxation and productivity. For families or friends travelling together, we can provide an additional single bed on this floor for a small fee. For your entertainment, the suite includes a TV with streaming services, so you can unwind with your favorite shows or movies. The space is thoughtfully adorned with striking statues, portraits, and paintings, each piece contributing to the suite's rich, artistic atmosphere. The bedroom is located on a mezzanine, creating a sense of separation and intimacy, with the lower level serving as a charming, open-concept retreat. Guest access Included in your stay is access to: • The Breakfast Room: the perfect room for a cosy night by the fire. • The Drawing Room: an awe inspiring converted barn, perfect for reading, having an evening drink with your partner or using any of our musical instruments. • The Walled Garden: a beautiful Victorian walled garden and greenhouse with an abundance of organically grown vegetables • The Dining Hall: inspired by a naive wall painting at Otley Old Hall, this is where we host evening meals would you decide to dine with us during your stay During your stay We live in the house alongside guests so will be available to answer any questions and recommend places to visit.
