Description

For those passing between Parma, Mantua, Sabbioneta, Verona, Lake Garda, you must stay in a historic building in Casalmaggiore, formerly a convent in the 1600s and near the Po river embankment. There are 4 apartments (the photos are of 1) in complete conservative restoration overlooking the convent park with a splendid series of loggias from where you can enjoy a timeless view and experience romantic emotions in the rooms with enchanting faces and frescoes. Air conditioning The space You will be hosted in the convent where historical figures have stayed in frescoed apartments with original furniture, all in magnificent loggias overlooking the historic convent park with a view of the Cathedral of Casalmaggiore The apartment consists of a first room with kitchen and living room and a double bed and a second real historic bedroom that opens onto a dressing room with a huge Art Nouveau bathroom Guest access This apartment differs from the convent structure of the building because it was rebuilt and embellished on the occasion of the marriage of the great-grandparents of the current owner Annita and Annito Porcelli who made it the apartment of the Spouses: the frescoed faces were made by the painter Tommaso Aroldi while the marble bas-reliefs on the facade of the building were made by the sculptor Carlo Cerati who represented the 7 labors of Hercules. From the bedroom, the perspective of the frescoes on the faces will show you a canopy with drapes supported by cherubs in a blue sky The 20-square-meter bathroom with a pentagonal porcelain tub was restored in the 1980s the large terrace overlooking the convent garden is equipped with garden furniture to stay comfortably outdoors in the silence of nature. the garden is not accessible to guests who, however, can observe it from above: it is a historic garden with centuries-old plants and artifacts of historical and artistic interest such as the statue of Diana and the fountain by the sculptor Carlo Cerati The Palace is in the center of the village, with access to walks on the Po and local museums (Museo del Bijoux, Museo Diotti), bike paths, and bicycles available to reach Sabbioneta Other things to note Our guests will find themselves immersed in history, in the comfort of ancient luxury: four-poster beds, linen sheets, comfortable and prestigious antique bathrooms. They will be in contact with the nature of a place out of time with certain charm and relaxation the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating with heat pump and all modern appliances Registration details IT019021b4g862MWOV
