Enjoy a sunset view over the sea from one of our collection of 3 beautifully furnished 5m bell tents, just a 10 minute stroll down to the beach at Bigbury on Sea. They boast some of the the best sea views in the whole of the UK looking out to Burgh Island, Bantham and Hope Cove. The space The Pilchard is the perfect getaway for families (max 2 adults) searching for a seaside getaway. You’ll settle instantly and be relaxing under canvas or outside by the fire pit with a glass in your hand, enjoying the sun sinking into the sea. Bigbury is a unique coastal location: great for swimming, surfing, snorkelling, coastal walks and sipping coffee at the Venus Cafe. We’re also very lucky to have the amazing Beach Barista on site providing daily coffee and delicious pastries. Walk from the door and you can immediately join the South West Coastal footpath, allowing you to discover some of the hidden local coves along the coast. The tent comes fully equipped for a comfortable stay with a double bed and two single beds on pallets, all with bed linen and blankets. We have carefully selected items of furniture and abundant house plants for a home from home experience. Inside is also kitchen equipment for cooking and eating your own meals, a trunk for clothes and a selection of teas and coffees. Feel free to respectfully use the space around the tent and the fire pit provided. Other things to note The facilities block in the centre of the campsite, shared with other guests, has toilets and showers, along with washing up facilities. The bell tents are designed to be an off- grid experience , with no WiFi or power, however there is mobile signal as well as solar powered lights and a fire pit. If you don’t fancy cooking, there are a wonderful selection of high quality pubs and restaurants only a short distance away.
