2026 OFFER- No cleaning fee for any stay in January or February 2026. Send an enquiry with your dates and I will send you the offer. Situated on the doorstep of Coombe Abbey country park. Guests can enjoy a day of fishing 30 seconds walk from the front door or enjoy a beautiful walk to Coombe Abbey Country park and Hotel, or the new amazing Go Ape. Cream tea is available in the summer months. £8 per person, please message the host to book The space The cottage offers a fully fitted kitchen including a dishwasher. Guests are provided with cooking and dining equipment as well as essential products such as washing up liquid, tea towel, dishwasher tablets etc. For stays of 4 days or longer guests are welcome to use the house washing machine for a small fee. The living room includes a log burner that guests are welcome to light however guests need to provide their own wood, guests can purchase this from me or the local store. There is a small tv with Freesat, we do not have sky or Netflix as there is no internet or Wi-Fi connection. There are two bedrooms, the double room at the rear of the property has ample draw space for guests and a towel rail. There is a hairdryer and hot water bottle if guests wish to use them. This room offers views over the deer park. There is a fireplace in both bedrooms but these CANNOT be lit under any circumstances. The twin room offers guests a large full-length wardrobe and lovely views over the farmer's fields. The bathroom is small but has everything you need. A shower and a bath are available, PLEASE NOTE I DO NOT PROVIDE GUEST TOWELS. The rear outdoor space offers a decked area straight off the kitchen which has a dining table, bbq, and chimenea. Guests are welcome to use these but will need to provide their own charcoal for the BBQ and wood for the chiminea, guest are requested not to tip water on either the bbq or chiminea. The cottage has off-road parking for 3 cars at the front of the property. There is a beautiful fishing lake at the rear of the property should guests wish to go fishing, there is a day fishing charge which must be made via the machine at the entrance and a valid rod license will also be needed, fishing is from June to March. Guests can only access the fishing lake if fishing however the lake can be viewed from the Country park itself. Only guests booked in to stay at the cottage may use it and the amenities, we do not allow any more than 4 guests to stay overnight Guests are not to charge electric vehicles using the cottage outlets. there are charge points located nearby at the various supermarkets. Guest access Guests have the use of the whole cottage during their stay which has a great sized outdoor decking and patio area at the back of the property. Guests are welcome to use the outside space at night but respectfully ask that noise terminates at 10 pm. The cottage has full off-road parking at the front for 3 cars. The hosts live next door in the adjoining cottage and work shifts The stairs are twisted without a handrail and is not ideal for young children or those with mobility issues. Access to the property is via lock box, the code will be sent to guests just before check In time Other things to note PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT PROVIDE TOWELS, GUESTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN Booking for a special occasion? Fancy something extra? I can provide or arrange flower arrangements, bouquets or balloon displays. Please contact me for information on decorations and flowers. One of my house rules is STRICTLY no smoking in the house, this also applies to the outside area at the rear. If you wish to smoke guests are asked to use the outside area at the FRONT of the property and guests are expected to dispose of cigarette ends. We have a strict recycling collection service and guests are requested to separate their rubbish and place it in the correct bins located at the side of the property. BLUE lid is recycling and the BLACK lid is general waste. Guests are asked not to host people outside of the booked group unless agreed with the host and this may be at an additional cost. Only people booked in to stay (max 4) may sleep over in the house. Guests are asked to inform the host of any breakages that occur during their stay and that any glass that gets broken is not to be put into the normal kitchen bin for health and safety reasons. Guests are asked not to charge electric vehicles under any circumstances. There are charge points in the local area should they be needed With the rise of electricity bills guests are asked to be mindful of leaving lights on in rooms that are not being used.
