The 200 year old house is located on a 2100 m² plot in the sunniest southern exposure. The construction of the house allows a pleasant indoor temperature even in high summer. In winter, the tiled stove creates a cozy warmth, and you can watch from the house and up close songbirds. Excellent conditions for cooking in the kitchen, spices and herbs are available in the home garden. Direct purchase of Carinthian specialties, such as farm butter, bacon, sausages, honey, Kasnudeln etc. at farmers in the area, at 'Nockfleisch' in Feldkirchen and at the weekly market on Saturday in the main square in Feldkirchen possible. A SPAR market is in the immediate vicinity. Steuerberg is a quiet place in the middle of Carinthia, not far from the district capital Feldkirchen. Within a few kilometers there are numerous lakes such as the Ossiachersee and the Wörthersee. Worthwhile excursion destinations are the Nockberge, the Turracherhöhe, the Gerlitze / Villacher Alpe and Bad Kleinkirchheim, as well as the provincial capital of Klagenfurt. Further the castle Hochosterwitz, the Gurker cathedral and in Hüttenberg the show mine and the Heinrich Harrer museum. Our Mesnerhaus offers good and friendly conditions for a relaxing and creative holiday, especially for families with children. The house has 4 bedrooms, a living room and beds for a maximum of 10 people. The kitchen room is also a cozy common room with its large table. The adults and children, who used to live in our Mesnerhaus, felt very well here. Other things to note The use of the sauna is charged extra. Heating costs from September to May €100.00 per week. Arrival and departure only on Saturday !!
