There are two large ponds across the street with trails around them for walking, jogging, or bicycling. Trails at the Celery Bog are nearby - both paved and mulched in the woods and the latter is very picturesque looking out over the bog. Purdue is about 3 miles away; walking distance to bus stop and county library from the house Walmart and Meijers about 3-4 miles from house. I have a small dog.
