Built in the traditional style of Mount Etna, this apartment is on the ground floor of a 2 floor chalet and boasts a superb location. The chalet is on a private vineyard with olive trees (8 hectares) on the base of Mt. Etna, with fantastic views over the bay of Taormina. The chalet is brand new and has been recently fitted with all modern conveniences. Remote, yet close to sites like Taormina, Randazzo and Catania, ideal to discover the true Sicily. The space This property can fit a maximum of 4 people and is 65sqm. It has an open plan living area and kitchen where the sofa bed is, a shower room and a separate master bedroom. The apartment has been furnished in a contemporary style, and you can rest assured that the property comes with a new, fully equipped kitchen. Linen and towels are included, and the beds are prepared for your stay. Enjoy eating outside on our equipped terrace surrounded by Mount Etna and the panoramic views of Taormina and the coast beyond. Here you will experience the natural reserve of Mount Etna, a UNESCO world heritage site, free of noise and light pollution. The property provides maximum privacy while allowing complete independence, and is the ideal location to explore the surrounding area as it is close to Taormina, the natural marine reserve of Marina di Cottone, Catania, Castiglione di Sicilia and the Alcantara Gorges to name a few. We are 500 meters above sea level so you can expect great views, amazing stargazing, pure air and no pollution at all. Guest access Guests will have full access to the property. Other things to note In winter there is a pellet heater, you can either buy pellets from the supermarket or request them in advance from us. The pellet heater is highly efficient and heats up the property well. As the Agritourismo is on Mount Etna, a UNESCO world heritage site, the wifi is limited (due to infrastructure restrictions) to e-mails, and messages. We kindly ask guests not to stream or download music or videos. Due to the area it is important to bring along trekking or tennis shoes. Please also note that the weather on Mount Etna is subject to diurnal shifts, meaning that the temperature may vary between high and low temperatures during the same day. Therefore, please consider bringing a jumper even in summer. On request we can organise trekking with an experienced guide, wine and food tours from our very own vineyards and farms, and barbecues on our terrace. Please contact us for further information. Please note that the road up to the property is about to be refurbished so it will be bumpy, but is doable in any car.
