Our house at the outskirts of Gaiberg is surrounded by meadows and forests, all accessible via numerous hiking and cycling paths and only 10 km away from the City Centre of Heidelberg. The newly furnished sous-terrain flat is your comfy home base for romantic walks or long hikes / bike tours through Odenwald. If sore feet keep you from hiking you reach the vibrant city centre of Heidelberg within 15 min by car. It takes even less time to drive to the famous castle. Car is recommended! The space THE FLAT This new apartment is in the sous terrain of our house in Gaiberg. The 62sqm flat is fully furnitured and very bright and cosy, facing our garden and the nature park Neckartal Odenwald. It is accessible via a separate entry, a well-lit path around the house leads to it. The studio-style flat has two rooms: a bathroom with WC, shower and washing machine and an open living room/kitchen. The living room is separated via a drywall and curtains from the sleeping room. The sleeping room has a queen sized bed (1,6x2m) and a big wardrobe with mirror. The open living room has a comfortable sofa bed that can be extended to 1,4x2m, a table for four allows you to have breakfast while overviewing our garden. The kitchen is newly installed and fully equipped including stove/oven, dishwasher and big freezer/fridge combination, toaster and all other kitchen tools for daily usage. We do not have a microwave. There is a free parking slot available right in front of the house. The small terrace in front of the flat fits easily two chairs and a chair and offers a view in our garden and beyond. Usage of the garden can be discussed. Animals are not welcome and smoking is not allowed. The flat is suitable for one person or a couple or a family of three. Guest access You have full access to the separate sous terrain apartment and do not need to share any rooms with your hosts. Other things to note We advice you to come by car, due to the sub-optimal public transport. Once you arrived you can leave the car here and roam the forests pedestrian and/or by bike . By car you can reach the city center of Heidelberg in less than 15min, by bus it takes 1hour because the bus takes a detour to collect passengers at small villages in the surrounding.
