It is located in the quiet crofting hamlet of Kilbride on the Isle of Skye, where sheep and cattle roam freely. Kilbride is surrounded by the famous Red Cuillin hills with views of the dramatic Bla Bheinn (Blaven) ridge. Abundant local wildlife includes red deer, buzzards, golden and sea eagles, otters, seals and dolphins. The space Kilbride Loft’s accommodation is over two floors, located in a separate building on the premises of Taigh Daibhidh, 4 and a half Kilbride, IV49 9AT. Downstairs you will enter the hallway / utility area which has a fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and dishwasher. The hallway leads to the shower room and stairs access the upper floor. Upstairs, the spacious open plan living area features a king size bed and lounge area with smart HD cable / satellite TV with Freesat, iPlayer and Roku. The TV is swivel mounted so can be redirected to watch from the bed. The well-equipped kitchenette has a microwave, two ring induction hob, toaster, kettle and mini fridge. French doors open onto the large raised deck, with patio furniture and spectacular mountain views in every direction. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided along with kitchen basics such as tea, coffee, sugar and oil. Electricity is included in the price. WiFi is available but may be slow at times, due to our rural location. Wifi calling is possible on mobile phones with this facility enabled. In case of emergency, the house landline can be used. Private access for guests is via the side door, round the left of the building. Guests can access all the garden areas. A welcome basket will be awaiting you on arrival. Three days minimum booking. Guest access Kilbride Loft will be all yours during your stay. Access to the property is via a shared driveway. Please keep the gate closed to keep the sheep and cows out of the garden. There is plenty of parking space. The accommodation is located above a workshop and next to the main house. The French doors and balcony overlooks parts of our garden, with open fields and mountains beyond. Other things to note Broadford, the nearest town with facilities, is 4 miles away. These include a petrol station, repair garages, supermarket, post office, medical centre, hospital, pharmacy, shops and a variety of places to eat to suit every budget. Broadford also has spectacular views across Broadford Bay to the mainland and the Applecross Peninsula. Please be aware that you will be staying in a remote area out in the countryside.
