Situated in the heart of the leafy suburb of Karen; this stylish one-bedroom A-frame cottage is tucked away out of sight in a corner of our four acre garden. Ideal for solo travellers and couples. The property is located less than 1.5km from the Hub Mall and only 2km from the Karen centre. The space The A-frame is the perfect space for those looking for a home away from home. All the necessary amenities have been included to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The loft bedroom has one king-sized bed. The spacious bathroom is located downstairs and features a shower, sink and toilet. Handmade shampoo, conditioner, body wash are provided as well as toilet paper and towels. There is a small work space downstairs. WiFi is included. The open-plan kitchen is well stocked with utensils, crockery, cutlery, fridge, gas hob, microwave-oven, NutriBullet, kettle and toaster. A reverse osmosis system provides a constant supply of safe drinking water. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper and fresh cut flowers are provided for your arrival. Please note no oven is provided. The lounge area is a great place to chill out and watch t.v (Netflix is included), read a book or play a board game. The sound bar can be connected to your device via Bluetooth if you’d like to listen to your music. The outdoor wooden deck overlooks a private garden and a large, comfy swing chair hangs from the fig tree. An outdoor chiminea fireplace can be lit in the evening upon request (please bring some firewood with you) and the candles add to the ambiance. Please note that this property has a very steep staircase to access the bedroom and is therefore not suitable for guests with mobility issues or young children. Guest access Guests will have full access to this private space. Car parking (uncovered) is provided on site and guests are required to walk the ~200m to the cottage via a path which takes you through a forested part of the garden. Other things to note We live on a shared property and our house rules are very important to us. Please ensure you have read and understood them. The staircase is steep and is not suitable for guests with mobility issues. When calling us, please use a regular line as other phone app calls tend not to ring through. No extra guests may visit the property under any circumstances (unless agreed to in advance). A house-keeper is available to clean the cottage after three nights. Your bed linens and towels will be changed on a weekly basis (after 6 nights). Fresh towels can be requested for during your stay at an extra fee. Tipping is customary but not mandatory. We regret that we do not offer a laundry service. There is a small jar of hand washing laundry power available next to the bathroom sink should you need to wash anything small/urgent yourself. There is a launderette located at the The Hub Mall down the road and another at the Waterfront Mall should you require one. We have a back-up generator in case of a power cut. This can support the lights, fan, t.v and Wi-Fi. However, high powered appliances such as the fridge, microwave, kitchen appliances and the water pump cannot run off it. Unfortunately this means that you cannot shower during a power cut. Please do not use any high powered devices or the inverter will fail. Whilst this is generally a very quiet neighbourhood, sometimes there is a potential to hear music/noise from outside of our property. Unfortunately this is beyond our control if it occurs during your stay.
