Situated in the heart of the leafy suburb of Karen; this stylish one-bedroom A-frame cottage is tucked away out of sight in a corner of our four acre garden. Ideal for solo travellers and couples. Not suitable for guests with mobility issues. Young children aren’t permitted due to the steep staircase. The property is located less than 1.5km from the Hub Mall and only 2km from the Karen centre. The space The A-frame is the perfect space for those looking for a home away from home. All the necessary amenities have been included to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The loft bedroom has one king-sized bed. The spacious bathroom is located downstairs and features a shower, sink and toilet. Handmade shampoo, conditioner, body wash are provided as well as toilet paper and towels. There is a small work space downstairs. WiFi is included. The open-plan kitchen is well stocked with utensils, crockery, cutlery, fridge, gas hob, microwave-oven, NutriBullet, kettle and toaster. A reverse osmosis system provides a constant supply of safe drinking water. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt, pepper and fresh cut flowers are provided for your arrival. Please note no oven is provided. The lounge area is a great place to chill out and watch t.v (Netflix is included), read a book or play a board game. The sound bar can be connected to your device via Bluetooth if you’d like to listen to your music. The outdoor wooden deck overlooks a private garden and a large, comfy swing chair hangs from the fig tree. An outdoor chiminea fireplace can be lit in the evening upon request (please bring some firewood with you) and the candles add to the ambiance. Please note that this property has a very steep staircase to access the bedroom and is therefore it is not suitable for guests with mobility issues or young children. Since there are no stair gates, we regret that we cannot accept bookings for guests with infants or young children (under 10). Guest access Guests will have full access to this private space. Car parking (uncovered) is provided on site and guests are required to walk the ~200m to the cottage via a path which takes you through a forested part of the garden. Other things to note Please read before booking: • Animals on Site: We live on this property with our pets. Expect to see dogs roaming freely. • Stairs: The unit is accessed via a steep staircase; not suitable for mobility-impaired guests. • Generator: Our backup generator supports basics lights/Wi-Fi/fridge. It does not support hot water (for showers), kettles, toasters or microwaves. • Strict Guest Policy: No unregistered visitors allowed without prior approval. • Laundry: No laundry service on-site. Hand-wash powder is provided; laundromats are located at The Hub and Waterfront malls. • Housekeeping: Cleaning provided after 3 nights; linens changed after 6 nights. • Contact: Please use Airbnb messaging.
