SAIL BOAT competence and Holidays in Greece

You may now obtain your EU-Greek Boat Competence for OffShore Sailing, while enjoying your holidays at the Greek islands and coasts! The Program consists of 64 hours of practice and theory and the exam during a trip. Up to 4 students may attend, which allows them to spend as much time as possible on the boat. The space - Two training boats are available: Either a 2 cabin GRAND SOLEIL 343, perfectly equipped with all sport equipment (sails, ropes etc) necessary to learn and to practice sailing. Or a 3 cabin ELAN 384i with roller sails. Both have comfortable double bed cabins, kitchen, fridge and bathrooms with shower. Both boats are inspected and approved yearly and are fully equipped with all features complying to regulations. Safety equipment is provided, as well as linen, towels, blankets, cooking gas, and end cleaning, marina fees, dinghy with outboard, all in the price (except fuel consumption and food & drinks). - At week's end you take the exam to obtain the Sailing Certificate in form of credit card ! This Skipper's Offshore license, valid throughout EU, gives you the right to sail boats up to 60 feet, with no range limit . License training is provided April to November, combining memorable holidays under the Greek sun, enjoying crystal water swimming and snorkeling and tasty cuisine in port tavernas. Where we shall be : Our training field will be the friendly Saronic gulf off Athens, with many islands, coves and ports available, variety of winds and beautiful sightseeing. We shall depart from the Athens Nautical Club of Peace & Frienship marina, to reach the Methana port from which we shall practice and visit the islands & coasts of Poros, Hydra, Angistri, Moni and Aegina on our last day, before we return to Athens. We shall practice every day, morning to evening at sea ! - The TRAINERS : The course is directed by professional Sailing Instructor Captain CESARE RODO, accredited by the Greek Ministry of Sports and the Greek Sailing Federation. He is registered as official offshore sailing coach and has a track record of hundreds of sailing regattas, distinctions and cups, during 38 years of sailing experience. His private sailing yacht is fully equipped and rigged for professional training and performance racing. He is assisted by Co-Captain CONSTANTINOS ARETEOS, also very experienced sailor for 37 years, with many races in record. Both Captains speak English, Italian, French, Spanish (and of course Greek), and will be your instructors in sailing, but also your guides to local history, gastronomy and sightseeing ! Guest access - We shall depart on a Saturday andwill return following Friday evening. - Trainees will be accommodated in 2 double bed cabins. - Up to Four (4) persons may only be admitted each week. They may use the boat kitchen, bathroom, deck and equipment. We take breakfast, light lunch, snacks, fruits and drinks on board, and will go out for dinner in nice tavernas. Other things to note Pricing : - PRICES mentioned are PER PERSON PER DAY, net (not including platform commission) for A GROUP of 4 PERSONS. - Total Cost for the weekly Training, theory notes, boat Accommodation in double bed cabins, for a group of 4. Does not include food & drink provisions and boat fuel consumption. - To enjoy training and holidays, pls bring with you a waterproof jacket and pants, sailing gloves, hat, clothes for training and for going out, sunscreen warm clothes (especially during low season April -May and September-November).
