Our Rural Traditional Yorkshire Dales Cottage is located in the village of Ingleton sitting underneath Ingleborough one of the Famous 3 Peaks. The cottage is a 1 minute walk to the village centre with its Traditional Pubs and wine bars and lovely unique Shops. There’s also a supermarket in the village for your every needs. The ground floor boasts a spacious living room, dining room and well-equipped kitchen and there is a fantastic stone feature fireplace with a gas wood burner. The first floor has a large family bathroom and there are two spacious bedrooms. If you plan to explore this wonderful area then why not start by heading around the corner to the start of the famous Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, with over 5 miles of walking and many waterfalls, it makes a great day out. The walk brings you straight into the centre of the village so you can enjoy a well-deserved pub lunch afterwards. Ingleton is a fantastic base for walking, climbing, potholing, cycling and even caving in the nearby White Scar Caves. A few miles drive out of Ingleton is the village of Clapham where there is a fantastic nature trail that passes by a lake, through mature woodland and is surrounded by spectacular limestone before reaching Ingleborough Show Cave. The trail takes you to Trow Gill and past Gaping Gill (Britain’s largest pothole), eventually bringing you to the summit of Ingleborough. If you want to explore further, why not take a trip to Hawes, famous for the Wensleydale factory where you can book a tour and shop for cheese until your heart’s content! The old market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is great for fine dining, traditional pubs and cafés as well as boutique shopping, and is only a few miles away. You can reach the south Lake District within 30 minutes as well as the west coast of Lancashire. Laburnum Cottage lies under the Three Peaks, Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside, and also Gaping Ghyll so why not take a holiday in this fantastic location to stay and explore the entire Yorkshire Dales! Other things to note There's so many places to visit from here! Labernum backs on the the River Twiss which meets the River Doe and is amazing to sit out overlooking from our cottage patio. The famous Railway Viaduct towers above the Cottage. Ingleton Waterfalls is a stones throw away from the cottage doorstep. The Lake District is a 30 minute drive. The west Coast 30 minutes. Settle to Carlisle railway 6 miles. Clapham Train Station is 1 mile away from the Cottage for train links all over the Country. Kirkby Lonsdale 5 miles for wining and dining, Settle and Clapham too. Take a trip to Hawes and visit the Yorkshire Dales Cheese making experience and test all the cheeses!! Newby/Clapham lies under the 3 peaks, Ingleborough, Pennyghent, Whernside and also Gaping Ghyll. Fantastic location to stay for the entire Yorkshire Dales. A minimum of two night stay are required for weekend breaks from Friday to Sunday. If you require a one night stay this may be possible on request. Clapham 2 miles Settle 6 miles. The picturesque Dales village of Clapham is situated in the heart of the famous "Three Peaks" country. Surrounded by spectacular limestone, the Nature Trail at Clapham passes by a lake and mature woodland before reaching Ingleborough Show Cave - spectacular whatever the weather! Follow the footpath further and wonder at the magnificent Trow Gill, before continuing past Gaping Gill (Britain’s largest discovered pothole) on the way to the summit of Ingleborough. The nearby White Scar Caves are also well worth a visit and there is a superb four-mile waterfall walk in the village of Ingleton. Clapham offers a village shop, a vintage gift shop and a bespoke wool and handicraft shop, as well as a pub, a bar and cafes. The village is an ideal base for walking, climbing or potholing and horse/pony trekking, as there are numerous bridle paths in the area. An excellent centre for touring the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland, with easy access to both the Lake District and the west coast. Guests are required to pay a security deposit of £180.00 7 days before check in which is returned the day after check-out when the Property has been Fully Checked. Guest who have a second dog (max of 2 pets per stay )will be charged @ £30 payable to the property host directly along with the Security Deposit prior to check in.
