SALCIO - THE OLD BARN IN THE HEART OF TUSCANY!

Dating back to 1500, Podere San Giorgio is an ancien olive farmhouse, the perfect place to live an authentic experience in the heart of Tuscany, immerse in nature and history. A stunning view of the surrounding hills, culinary and naturalistic itineraries, the history and culture of Pisa and Florence less than an hour drive, are just some of the amazing opportunities Podere has to offer. The space The complex consists of the main panoramic villa where, after a skilful restoration, three apartments have been created on separate levels and the old barn has been transformed into two cozy terraced houses. Arriving into Salcio, one can hardly imagine that, in its previous life, it used to be a barn. A skillful refurbishment transformed it into a cozy house, the perfect location to plunge into the beautiful Tuscan nature. At the entrance you’re welcomed by the impressive fireplace, cornerstone of the house and connection between the kitchen area and the living room. On the ground floor, there two bedrooms, one double and one with two twin beds, and one bathroom with disabled access. On the first floor one ensuite double bedroom, one double bedroom and an ample bathroom. From the living room, a french window connects the house to the garden,with a reserved area for Salcio’s guests, with a table, chairs, outdoor light, two deckchairs and BBQ, under the nice shadow of the porch. In the months between May and October, every apartment has a dedicated space by the pool, with beach umbrella, two deckchairs and two sun loungers. Guest access Relax Area Swimming Pool Shared between the guests, is located on a panoramic overview, far from the living area in order to keep it very quite. Each apartment has its own private bath station with umbrella and deckchair. Little Chapel The little chapel from XII century is open to the guests during the day as a cultural asset. Covered Parking The covered parking is inside the structure and close to the apartments. Forno a legna e BBQ Each apartment is provided of a private BBQ, a shared wood-fire oven is available. Playground On a flowery green filed there are wood structures for kid’s fun. Green Area The Agriturismo is surrounded by a wide green area and an olive groove of 10.000 sm where you can enjoy a long and restoring walk throug the nature.
