The Blue Room is one of our 4 guestrooms in our cozy old settler's home located in the center of Port Elizabeth, Richmond Hill. The vibey Stanley Street is just around the corner and is packed with the best restaurants, cafés and bars with live music. We are located in Mackay Street right next to PTC Aviation Center. Within 5 minutes you're at the beach or in a nice park for a picnic. The cricket stadium and St. Georges hospital are also a 5min drive away, the malls a 10min drive. The space This room is very spacious and offers lots of built-in closets. The private bathroom is not en-suite but only a few steps away. There are a Queen size and a single bed in the room. You will love the place because it is located very centrally yet it is very quiet. Guest access As a guest you have full access to all common living areas on our property. We are happy to share our lounge with Smart TV and a fire place, the spacious kitchen with a separate guest fridge and cupboard, the upstairs terrace and our cozy garden with Braai facilities with you. During your stay My partner Nick and I are very sociable people and like to interact with our guests if they wish. We are available for questions, tips or even going out for a drink together but also respect our guests' privacy if interaction is not desired. If you need a ride or pick up from the airport just let us know on time, we do offer shuttle service. Or maybe you would like to visit the amazing Addo elephant park but don't have a car or don't want to pay for an expensive private tour, we can take you there and drive you through the park. If you are interested to see the real South Africa away from the touristic attractions and get to know the Xhosa culture, we can arrange a private township tour (with German translation) for you! The tours are only done on special request and can be tailored to your personal interests Other things to note If you need transport or pick up from the airport, please let us know in advance. My partner Nick will assist you if he's available. Please be aware that we are in a severe water crisis in the Eastern Cape. Municipality water is restricted and therefore the pool cannot always be cleaned the way we like to. So, please forgive us if it doesn't always look as nice as on the pictures! Please don't bring any day or night visitors over. If someone needs to come inside, please check with us upfront. This is our private home and we don't like to bump into any strangers who are not booked in. Thank you!
