Romantic Shepherd Huts in the Brecon Beacons

A pair of private, romantic shepherds huts with incredible walks right from the door with a good local pub close by. Hand-crafted by Graham from local hillside timber, Spring Farm’s authentic shepherds’ huts, winners of a county award, are set in a hawthorn-fringed meadow, which becomes a sea of bluebells in late spring. With a stunning panoramic view down the whole length of the Bryn Awr valley to the Brecon Beacons on the horizon – one of the loveliest vistas in all Wales. Click on our profile The space Hut one’s cosy living room has picture windows on both sides and pastel-shaded paneled walls, while its blissfully soft double bed has generous storage space beneath. A table and two comfy armchairs complete the furnishings and in one corner there’s a traditional wood stove (all logs and kindling provided) to keep you warm as toast in winter. The adjoining second hut’s two rooms comprise a fully-fitted kitchen complete with stove, oven and fridge and a separate bathroom with shower cubicle (ample hot water), wash basin and loo, both rooms being decorated in charming pastel colours. Guest access Spring Farm looks onto the northern slopes of The Sugar Loaf mountain, with easy access for walkers and mountain bikers (bikes available from us on request), while close by there are opportunities for horse riding, canoeing and even gliding. Other things to note Spring Farm is a working small holding. There are a menagerie of animals living on the farm. Whilst we welcome you to bring your own furry friend, we must ask that you consider our animal residents, both domesticated and wild, when bringing a dog.
