A stunning Grade II listed former sea captain’s cottage, plenty of history and just a few minutes walk from the timeless and beautiful village of Boscastle with its delightful Elizabethan harbour, fabulous views and dramatic scenery. The property benefits from private parking for two vehicles, lawned gardens with superb views, this cottage exudes character with many original features and an abundance of style throughout. The space Once inside discover the very well-equipped kitchen, providing both plenty of workspace and storage, along with its own delightful fireplace with wood burner. The separate dining room is a great space to enjoy any meal, play board games or make plans for the day, The living room is a very comfortable place to relax, with wonderful sofas to sink into and stunning sash windows emanating natural light, open fireplace, and bespoke artwork. The family bathroom is located on the ground floor too, with bath and power shower over and cosy underfloor heating; along with a separate toilet and utility room with washer/dryer. Venture upstairs and there are three wonderfully decorated bedrooms, two double rooms, one with TV and gorgeous valley views plus a twin room with feature fireplace. Just a few minutes’ walk will take you to the delightful Elizabethan harbour, some fabulous views and dramatic scenery. The village is charming, with a river running through to the sea and the Southwest Coast Path revealing breath-taking scenery. Beautiful cottages, along with gift shops, pubs, and cafés. There is also a rather unique walking route called the Smugglers’ Way, which links many of the Cornwall’s most notorious places once associated with wreckers and smuggling now past. The incredible north coastline boasts some of the finest beaches in the county, with Polzeath, Crackington Haven, Bossiney Cove and Trebarwith Strand just to name a few. The variety is such that surfing, swimming, and sunbathing can be enjoyed to the full within a short drive away. We have body boards, Children's wetsuits, buckets and spades available. The nearby beaches at Crackington Haven, Trebarwith Strand and Polzeath are perfect for surfing and sun bathing. The property benefits from private parking for 2 cars. Private parking in Boscastle is quite rare and street parking impossible for most of the year throughout the village. Many other rental properties don't mention parking because it can be problematic if they don't have their own (which most don't). The property is located just off the historic centre of the village with its castle mound and picture book cottages. Nearby traditional pubs, full of character and serving great food together with village shops from the mystical to the village bakery are all within a few minutes walking distance. Guest access Sleeps 6 in three bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 twin) Other things to note The property has steep steps down to the front door. The traditional slate can get slippery when wet. Alternatively the property can be approached along the garden path from the car parking area. The bathroom is on the ground floor. Parking in a private bay for 2 medium cars albeit a little tight. Additional street parking on the road just up Forrabury Hill opposite our car bay or on road parking outside the property from October to April.
