The Penthouse - Sedbergh Main St. - Dales&Lakes
Description
Welcome to The Penthouse, a stylish bolthole in the beautifully situated town of Sedbergh. The flat makes a perfect place for a couple (linen for the King Bed is included in the base price) but the wonderfully quirky mezzanine has a double and a single sofa bed to accommodate up to 3 further guests. The space Woven into the Victorian fabric of The Yorkshire Dales while being a thoroughly modern and stylish apartment, it makes a gorgeous lofty vantage point to take in the views. We have renovated this previous 1 bed flat to enable it to sleep our whole family. The space is enhanced with period features such as exposed beams and window seats and made super comfortable with high-spec fittings and minimalist decor. The Mezzanine has a glass partition wall, and door, so provides little privacy - perfect for family and close friends only. Please let us know on booking which combination of extra beds you'd like made up - there is a double and 2 singles on the Mezzanine. Note the extra one-off £15 per bed linen charge for beds set up on the Mezzanine. Guest access Guests enter the property into a shared stairway with decorative Victorian floor tiles. The door to The Penthouse is on your right on the first floor. Ascending another corner staircase from here to the second floor guests emerge into a stunning double-height space with exposed beams, wooden floors and glorious views. Note : there is no lift in this Grade2 Listed building. Total steps = 30 (great training for the nearby Winder Hill!) Other things to note EXTRA BEDS : We're happy to make up the beds on the mezzanine - as dictated by you. Just tell us if you want the double, or the single, both of them! A one-off £15 linen charge is made per extra bed. NOISE : There is a flat below you (The Cosy Corner). This is an old building, and every attempt has been made to soundproof between the floors - but they will hear you downstairs if you are jumping around, have a child with a toy on wheels, or have the music blaring out. If you check out our listing for Cosy Corner, I have suggested that if they can hear you, and are bothered by your noise, that they should please knock on your door. Please show consideration - but please do have a good time :) RECYCLING : Sedbergh is a ZeroWaste town, and there is extensive recycling facilities in the Joss Lane car park (behind the Tourist Information Centre & Public Toilets). We encourage you to utilise these facilities where possible.
