This is an ideal location if you are looking for calm & nature, or outdoor activities; if you do not wish to be far from civilization . It offers walks & hikes, a nearby river, beaches at 45mn drive. Poggio di Venaco is 2mn walk, Corte 12mn drive . Bookings are for 3 nights minimum. Please note because of our good size 2 dogs, the place is not felt suitable for small children. Our other apartment on site : airbnb.com/h/acasarossa The space The apartment gives onto the garden and a large terrasse, it offers a breathtaking view on the surrounding mountains. Services can be provided as required: * beddings prepared (10€ p/bed) * 1 set of 2 towels per person (3€ p/set) * Laundry (€3 p/machine) * cleaning on departure (40€) * 1 extra adult possible at 10€ p/p per night (see pictures) Please be informed that cleaning and hygiene products are supplied only upon your arrival. Fully equipped with no unnecessary fancy, our Guests can also enjoy the use of the in fireplace in colder months or wood barbecue in the summer, eat outside on the terrasse and under the hazelnut tree or laze in the garden. We believe and respect Dame Nature, upon availability and season, we can sell our chicken eggs, aromatic herbs, vegetable and fruits from the garden. Please note that if you do not wish linen to be provided, for sanitary reasons, we request that you set beds with under and upper sheets, pillow cases and when relevant a quilt cover, failing this, we will be happy to provide the necessary linen at the rate specifid here above. A woolen blkanket is available at your disposal. We thank you for your understanding. Guest access The apartment is exclusive to our Guests with street (cul de sac) parking for car or motorbike. Please let us know in advance if you have a large vehicle Bookings are for 3 nights minimum. Arrival is usually after 4pm, departure by 10am. However, Guests can arrive any time as most convenient, if very early or late, please let us know in advance. The apartment must be left, clean and tidy by the host upon departure. Cleaning products and equipment are provided. Cleaning service is available at a rate of 40€, apartment must be left decent and washing up is not included. The location is apx. 1h / 1.5h hour drive from Bastia, Ile Rousse, Calvi or Ajaccio. The trains station of Poggio di Venaco is 1km from the apartment (wave to the conductor to stop the train). The train deserves stations along the coastline or through the centre of the Island, an incredible breathtaking experience. Bus services are also available locally. Other things to note 1 very kind and playful young Lady Dog (Beauceron), her little cousin, a young adopted mixed Border Colley, 2 cats, 3 chickens also live on the premises. Our friends are totally part of our household, freely walking or running around and sometimes barking. They are strictly not allowed access to the apartment. If you are not at ease with animals, this apartment is not suitable. The dogs are very sweet and enthusiast and both food-lovers. Can and can't do concerning the animals are given upon your arrival. Part of these is that we strongly ask our Guests not to feed the animals and it will fall under their responsability if food is stolen when left unattended or unsupervised, whether swiftly or through the use of their melting-effect-charm. Unfortunately, due to past unpleasant happenings, mainly for thoughtfulness but also reponsability and safety reasons, we have sadly taken the decision to no longer accept Guests with chidren. The village of Poggio di Venaco has a local bar, a restaurant, a post-office and a town hall. It is a pretty old village worth visiting with its large church and its small chapel, courtyards gardens and beautiful paroramic views. Additionally to local shops, such as a supermarket, Corte has 2 good chemists, doctors and a small hospital. The best baker is next to the train station. There are also a small fruit & veg shop and a chemist in Venaco, 2km.
