Private Country Studio
We offer a very private, secure and cozy studio with amenities in the Mt Baker foothills. We welcome hosting all guests whether it be for a weekend getaway or requiring a longer term stay in a beautiful country setting. Our location is also perfect for the nature enthusiasts seeking to explore and enjoy Mt Baker Ski area and the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Please do checkout our listing for more details. We would love to host your stay! NO PETS AND NO SMOKING! The studio includes a queen bed, full bath/shower, microwave, mini fridge, WIFI, ROKU TV, quiet heat/aircon, washer/dryer, and a basic workout room. The studio is in a separate building from our residence with private driveway and front door parking. Guests have full and private use of the studio and workout room, which also includes a futon sofa/bed. Outdoors, our guests have access to our property for walks or may ask to use our firepit. Guests can come and go as needed without restrictions. My husband, Joel, and I will be available during guest stays. We are in the main house behind the studio. Feel free to knock on our door or contact us via phone or text. Rural country setting in a valley known as Welcome and situated between the Nooksack River's north and middle forks. Mosquito Lake Road is a 14 mile scenic drive between Acme on WA-9 and Welcome on the Mt Baker Highway (WA-542). Typically, a quiet community, our area attracts many enthusiasts and nature lovers that enjoy the Mt Baker and the North Cascades wilderness areas. Spring and summer months are perfect for hiking and camping. In the winter, Mt Baker Ski Area, which is in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, draws people from all over for skiing, snowboarding and other winter activities. Between December and February, watching the bald eagles during the salmon runs along the Nooksack River on Mosquito Lake Road is a popular attraction. A historic one-way bridge over the Nooksack River's middle fork, an old cemetery in the woods and a rustic logging museum are a few other items of interest in our Welcome community. You’ll need a car to get to grocery stores and restaurants. Parking is available directly outside the studio. We are located 5 minutes from Deming, 1 mile to a local convenience store with hot/cold foods, 40 miles to Mt Baker, 16 miles to Bellingham/Interstate 5, 20 miles to the Canadian border and about 90 miles to North Cascades National Forest.
