Charming attached cottage with a small walled courtyard and beautiful views across the Mendip Hills. The cottage has been sensitively renovated with a fully equipped kitchen, Scandinavian log burner and is surprisingly spacious with separate kitchen, dining and living rooms , toilet and utility. 2 upstairs bedrooms, a fully equipped shower room and separate toilet. Private patio, Mature garden (shared), with patio table set, BBQ, and bench seating. Trampoline and garden swing and slide. The space The house has an oldy worldly character (the Court House of the Bishops of Bath and Wells - 900 years) with flagstones, stone hearth, bread oven (not in use), sensitively updated with a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher/washing machine) and Scandinavian log burner. The 2nd bedroom has a super kingsize bed which can also be split into two standard width singles. The site has an amazingly rich history having featured in the Doomsday book and referenced in writings from the 13th century as the site of the regional court house of the bishops of Bath and Wells. Beams in the outbuildings and trees in the paddock go back 700+ years. Guest access The house is accessed at the rear via a farm gate. There is parking by the gate but you are welcome to bring the car down nearer the house to unload.
