Description

Comfortable cottage with private garden and fantastic views (3 bedrooms, sleeps up to 5) Ellers cottage has a large, open-plan lounge with inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove, large bay windows overlooking the garden and separate dining area. The kitchen is modern, spacious and well equipped. Also on ground floor is a w/c and double bedroom. Upstairs are two further bedrooms and main shower room. The master bedroom has ensuite shower and a balcony overlooking beautiful Lakeland views. The space The cottage is tastefully furnished throughout with antique and fitted furniture and natural blue slate flooring. It has the feel of a traditional Lakeland cottage whilst enjoying all modern conveniences and the oil-fired heating system keeps the cottage cosy and warm no matter what the weather. Externally the cottage has parking for two cars and a garden with patio furniture. The garden is south-facing, private and sheltered and in good weather it is a real sun-trap which makes it a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery or birdwatch. The new traditional lakeland fencing which has been locally crafted and installed around the garden perimeter adding to the character and charm of this sunny spot. Guest access Ellers Cottage is close to the much-photographed and very beautiful Loughrigg Tarn. It is a short car journey to Ambleside and Skelwith Bridge - both are accessible by foot for walkers (Ambleside on foot via fell paths takes approx 1 hour walking). Other things to note Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday, although these dates can be varied for longer stays subject to availability
