The Garden House, Windmill Hill, Bristol

The garden house is a comfortable converted garage at the end of our garden. It is an open plan studio, heated by a pellet stove. It has been lovingly renovated in part with vintage/antique furniture. The house has its own entrance from a lane at the back of our house. We aren't too far to the harbourside (0.7mile/20min walk) & approx 1 mile from the town centre. Windmill hill has great transport links if you don't like walking. Free on street parking on Cotswold rd. The space We are very close to Victoria Park and a short walk to the popular North st, Bedminster. Wapping wharf is also quite near. We are approx 500 yards from Bedminster train station and 1mile from temple meads. WE ARE NOT IN THE CENTRE: please, before you are disappointed by location, check it’s convenient to your plans. We are BS3. The house is suitable for up to 3 people. There is a double bed and a sofa bed that folds down into a large single/ small double. There is a pellet stove to keep you warm and cosy. This is the main source of heat in the winter. We do not have central heating. The stove is easy to operate and energy efficient. Instructions on how to use it are provided. Guest access There is a private entrance to the property from a private lane, at the bottom of our garden. You do have to go down some steep steps to access the back lane. Other things to note The garage runs on electricity and the amenities have been measured to accommodate the maximum output. The water is heated by an immersion heater and provides enough water for two people to shower. There is no central heating but there is an electric towel rail and radiator should you need it in addition to the pellet stove which heats the space. The house is well insulated. There is no cooker, but a microwave. There is also a camping stove if you wish to cook on a single hob. We can provide extra bedding if needed.
