The Housie

The Housie is a small traditional converted granite shed. Although adjacent to the owner's property, it affords plenty of privacy and is in a secluded area. Peace and quiet and being close to nature are what people love best about The Housie. Recently (2023) The Housie has had some renovation work. Along with being rewired and replumbed, we have also added a full size dishwasher and washing machine. The space Accessibility to Local attractions. The nearest distillery on the Whisky Trail is approx an hour away but the Royal Lochnagar is closer being 45 minutes up the Deeside valley. There is easy access to Bike Tracks, Hill Walking, Bird Watching and Fishing in the summer and in the winter the Lecht Ski Centre is a 30 minute drive, Glenshee 55 minutes and Cairngorms is just over an hour away. Guest access Parking for 2 cars available. Other things to note I am extremely keen to attract birds, insects and amphibians into our garden, I steadfastly refuse to use glyphosate or any weedkillers. The garden is very "au naturelle" and you will always see weeds along with all the bumble bees and butterflies! We are renovating various buildings and there is some building equipment stored near to the Housie. This should not disturb or distract from your stay but feel it is only fair to mention it.
