Old Garden House is in the middle of a pretty village on a single track road 1 mile from Malmesbury, 3 1/2 miles from Tetbury. Continental style breakfast is included, with eggs or full English available at a small extra cost. There are 2 rooms with en-suite shower or bathroom. Fast speed Wi-fi (300 Mpg) is now available so streaming films or Zoom calls are easy There are many attractions within a short distance, Highgrove gardens, Westonbirt Arboretum, WOMAD, and many sporting events. The space The house is spacious and airy, and incorporates all the necessary modern insulation to provide a cool space in the Summer, warmth in Winter. The bedroom has fitted cupboards for hanging space and a chest of drawers for storing clothes. Bedlinen is 100% cotton from The White Company, and towels are thick and fluffy. The bathroom has a heated towel rail to keep towels dry and aired though turned off in a heat-wave! Breakfast is served in the large family kitchen available from 7.30-9.00 am. Brokenborough is a village steeped in history, where King Athelstan was supposed to have had his palace, and it is mentioned in the Domesday Book. It stands on a slope above the River Avon which winds its way around it on its way to the ancient market town of Malmesbury, and the Fosse Way leads past the village a short distance away. Guest access I will welcome you on arrival and show you to your room. Thereafter with a key to the front door you are able to come and go at leisure. The room is on the 1st floor accessed by the main staircase, with separate en-suite bathroom. Breakfast is offered in the family kitchen or can be taken outside on the terrace in hot weather. During your stay I enjoy meeting people, but am a busy artist and sculptor. Just grab me if you want any tips on places to go, things to do etc! Other things to note There is fast speed Wi-fi of 300 Mgs provided by Gigaclear so streaming films or Zoom calls are all easy to do. We have 2 dogs, a rescue Saluki and a Cocker Spaniel so you do need to be comfortable with dogs.
