The space The “Erlkönig” apartment is a 20 m² compact city apartment, ideal for two guests who want to stay centrally and comfortably in Wernigerode. The bright living space combines a double bed (180 × 200 cm), dining table and kitchenette in a well-organized layout. From the bed you can enjoy a view of the greenery or relax while watching TV. A wardrobe and additional storage space provide room for short or week-long stays. The compact kitchenette includes a refrigerator, two-burner ceramic hob, sink, coffee maker, kettle and basic cooking utensils – perfect for breakfast or simple meals. The dining table for two can also serve as a practical workspace. The bathroom features natural daylight, a shower, WC and washbasin. A heated towel rail adds extra comfort. Facing a quieter side street, the apartment offers a pleasant retreat while still being within walking distance of the historic town center. WiFi, bed linen, towels and free on-site parking are included. A washing machine and drying room are also available in the building. Guest access The apartment is located on the raised ground floor and can be accessed via the shared main entrance. Please note that several steps lead to the entrance, so the apartment is not barrier-free. Free on-site parking is available directly at the house, ensuring an easy arrival and departure by car. Check-in is possible from 4:00 pm and check-out until 10:00 am. A flexible, contactless self check-in is provided via a key box with a personal access code, which you will receive by email prior to arrival. You are welcome to park your car on the day of arrival before check-in and after check-out, allowing you to start or extend your visit to the town center at your convenience. A washing machine and drying room are also available in the building. Other things to note In Wernigerode, a local visitor’s tax is charged. It amounts to €3.50 per person per night (children aged 6–18: €1.75) and is payable in cash on arrival. The guest card includes free use of public transport within the Harz district and various discounts. The apartment is centrally located in a residential neighborhood. Although it faces a quieter side street, occasional typical city or building noises may occur. The apartment is strictly non-smoking and designed for a calm and respectful stay. Parties or events are not permitted, and we kindly ask guests to observe the usual quiet hours. Pets are unfortunately not allowed.
