Staying in this house is like taking a dip in Salento culture: the local calcarenitic stone 'il tufo' and the barrel vaults, frame a decor with furniture and centenary objects, rich in history and tradition. The green of the olive trees, pomegranates, citrus fruits and the ocher yellow of the stone, makes it ideal for a relaxing vacation, away from the hustle and bustle and the sultry heat of the city. The space The location slightly below street level makes the house a cozy nest: cool in summer and warm in winter. Ugo, taking advantage of his knowledge of local history and construction, has been able to exploit the magical properties of Lecce stone: the furniture is antique and rich in Salento objects, part of the daily life of peasants and the most beautiful farms. The lounge table, obtained from a 17th-century door, is the emblem of the taste and sensitivity of Ugo, an expert restorer. Living in it is like going back in time, but without the lack of today's comforts. Our guests love to hole up in the house on sultry summer days and go out at sunset in the garden, under the wooden porch, to dine and enjoy a good glass of wine in the presence of the starry sky of Tricase. THE HOUSE It is airy, fresh and equipped with everything you need to meet the most common needs. To access it, you have to go down one floor and it features: - first bedroom with two beds and a sofa that can be used as a double bed; - second bedroom with a double bed; - large vaulted living room; - kitchenette with induction cooktop; - master bathroom with shower; - 2000 square meter garden with a wooden porch and barbecue. INCLUDED IN THE PRICE - Utilities: water, electricity; - Sheets, blankets and towels, with free changes for stays longer than one week; - Kitchen use: dishes, glasses, pots, microwave, electric moka coffee maker, induction cooktop and fridge with freezer; - Supplies: Lecce coffee, bottle of local olive oil, salt, sugar, vinegar, tea, tarallini and Salento wine; - Hair dryer; - TV and Wi-Fi. NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE: - Washing machine. SPECIFICATIONS: - The owners, Ugo and Maria, live on the upper floor and, for this reason, are always available for any reason. WHERE TO PARK Parking is free both inside the garden and on the street front.
