Welcome to Jack's Shack! Our lakefront home in Eagle Rock, Missouri on beautiful Table Rock Lake. Guests are only steps away from the lakeshore and a swim dock for swimming, fishing, kayaking, floating on the aqua pad for free if you wish to use them! (No mooring of boats allowed, no exceptions). The 'shack', named after our mascot, Jack A. Lope, is decorated in vintage decor. Amenities include wifi, satellite TV, board games, DVD movies and even a record player with a huge selection of oldies! Our space is peaceful and quiet due to where we are on the lake. This area of Table Rock isn't as busy as other parts of the lake. We live in the country, as you will notice by the cattle guards that you will have to cross in order to get to us! The vintage decor along with the disco ball, record player, old albums and books to enjoy set among a backdrop of bright colors, are part of what we feel makes the space unique. Our goal is to share our love of the lake and nature with others in a fun way! There is a guest path to the shoreline where the kayaks and aqua pad are located on the swim dock. PER LAW THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS DOES NOT ALLOW ANYONE EXCEPT THE DOCK OWNER TO USE THE BOAT SLIP. So please DO NOT ask. Swimming, fishing, kayaking and sunbathing are definitely encouraged here though. We supply a limited number of sizes of life jackets so if you can, bring your own. There are 2 marinas very close with nightly slip rentals. Feel free to bring your own fishing gear, rafts, tubes and life jackets. There is an electric air pump in the closet to air up your water toys. Before using the swim dock, aqua pad or kayaks, etc. You will be required to sign a liability waiver. A list of rules and waivers will be in the welcome book for you to read and sign. Jack's Shack is a guest house and we live on the property in a separate home so if you have any needs or questions we are only a phone call or text away. As you are on vacation, we will only interact with you if needed or just in passing to say welcome and hello! We welcome any questions or concerns. Located on the Rock Creek arm of Table Rock Lake, the cottage is in a very small lakeside community of 10 houses. +++ The private dock for swimming, fishing, kayaking and playing on the aqua pad are less than 150 feet from your back deck. There is a path to the shoreline for all these activities. +++ Eureka Springs is only a scenic 25 minute drive away for dining, shopping or art and music festivals. +++ Roaring River State Park is only a short 10 minute drive with trout fishing, nature trails and their famous trout hatchery where the kids can feed the fish. +++ Big M Marina is only 8 minutes away where you can rent a pontoon, pleasure or fishing boat. If you wish to bring your own boat, they offer nightly slip rentals. They also have a restaurant on the marina where you can dine for lunch or dinner. +++ Promised Land Animal Safari Park is only a 10 minute drive away. +++ Beebe's Roaring River Water Slide is 15 minutes away. +++ Bentonville Arkansas is a scenic 50 minute drive away where you can enjoy Crystal Bridges Art Museum, The Walmart Museum and many other attractions. +++ Dogwood Canyon nature preserve is also just a scenic 30 minute drive away. Adding available extra days before or after your reservation can be added for no change fee if the dates are available. For these reasons we HIGHLY suggest you purchase Airbnb’s Travel Insurance if you think you might have to cancel or change dates for ANY REASON, bad weather, family emergency, sickness, injury or ANY other reason. Again, by booking you agree to these policies. We have 2 dogs, Daisy the Goldendoodle and Taco the frisbee loving Border Collie. They have their own fenced yard and are very friendly.
