The space Located in the center of Portugal, close to the historical town of Coja, this modern, fully equipped villa is perched on top of a hill overlooking a beautiful green valley in an area of natural beauty, where tranquility is only disturbed by the song of birds and sounds of nature. Looking out from the villa’s southerly terrace over our Zen Garden with its large natural lawn surrounding the rock pool, home to our fish and crossed by a red Japanese arched bridge (soribashi) which historically symbolizes the path between the human world and the world of nature, you might be tempted to think of paradise. A large Buddha watches out over the lake and rolling hills whilst enjoying the sound of flowing water from the waterfall cascading down from the upper garden. A perfect spot for relaxation and rejuvenation! The Zen garden itself is surrounded by a variety of fruit trees offering their sweet and colourful oranges, lemons, apples, pears, berries, kiwis, olives, persimmons and figs to our guests which can be picked when in season and ripened by the ever present sun as it dances across the sky. Each bedroom looks out on a different aspect of the gardens with varying flora and fauna and where your mornings are greeted by a picture-perfect view of the garden and the valley below, sometimes blanketed by a layer of cloud in the valley below. At night, enjoy the iconic sunsets and clear skies revealing their secret stars and planets twinkling in the night sky and breath in the fresh night air from the rear terrace leading down a few steps to the all-weather swimming pool. Enjoy our new Gas BBQ and the new pyramid shaped Gas Heater (usually found in restaurants) during your alfresco dining. In the morning, feel invigorated with a morning swim into the covered pool, or enjoy one of the many walks into the surrounding hills, or explore some of the neighbouring villages and towns where time has rarely moved on. Other things to note All guests must provide government IDs prior to booking. All bookings are subject to Hosts/Owners' Terms and Conditions a copy of which is available on request. Hosts sometimes stay in the separate house next door but they do not use the swimming pool or the guests' terrace when guests are staying so there is no sharing of facilities. For all guests' comfort, strictly non-smoking inside the house and charges will be imposed if this is not complied with.
