Victorian home across from Norwich University, 30minutes from Sugarbush, 15 miles from the State House in Montpelier, and walking distance to restaurants. Parking on property 2 shared bathrooms one on 2nd floor and one on 3rd floor. Shared access to kitchenette which offers space for cooking and hanging out. The space is clean and quiet. Access through the front door will place you in the foyer that leads to the 2nd floor with two private bedrooms and a bath with a shared kitchenette . Room # 3 is located on the third floor, has a full sized bed which is large enough for two adults. There is also a dresser, desk, closet, and enough room to pull out the additional trundle bed. Although in rural VT, the restaurants stay open until about 9pm on weekdays and past 11pm Thurs - Sat. Nearby Montpelier restaurants have a similar schedule. The beds are comfortable & clean. There is plenty of driveway parking. Winter arrived before the new driveway could be finished so there is a pile of gravel at the end of the driveway near the back yard. A short walk to the front of the building will bring you to the front porch and entrance, where you can bring in all your luggage before heading up the staircase to the second floor that has two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchenette that is shared. I recommend that you temporarily park within the first 50ft of driveway to unload luggage by the front door before parking on the side or rear of the building. When you enter the front door you will find yourself in a large foyer with a staircase that leads to the 2nd floor bedrooms, 1 bathroom and the kitchenette. Continue through the kitchenette to access the 3rd floor shared bathroom and other guest rooms. The rooms in this house are often rented to staff at Norwich University, as well as Traveling Nurses visiting the area. Sometimes it's short term visitors visiting Sugarbush for the weekend. Small town Vermont that has a night life. There is a local brewery, coffee roasting joint, and a small town hardware store that has so much stuff in every nook that it's amazing they know where stuff is.. but they will have what you're looking for. There is a winery several miles down the road that has a tasting room and sometimes offers music. There is a dive bar with pool tables and a moose head. In the other direction you can find a restaurant that offers cabin style rooms and a fancy dinner or lunch that will excite any foodie, although their availability is variable... I will add their name here. This town also has pizza, certainly does not compare to NY or Philly, but hey, it's pizza. There are a couple breakfast joint in town, weekly dinners at two churches, and I think the sock factory may be famous? At least with the adventurous outdoor crowd that appreciates warm socks wile skiing or hiking. A dog and two cats live on the first floor. They do not have access to the rental rooms and stay on the first floor away from visitors.
