Oregon Coast The Extra Room Apt

Can't beat the serenity in this full apartment w/ fully-equipped kitchen, bath, bedroom and den (1,000 sq feet). Breathtaking views. Twenty minutes from the beach and seventy miles due west of Portland; this is a gem for those looking for a peaceful retreat. Far enough to relax; close enough to easily get to towns, the Farmer's Market, fishing, hiking, kayaking, beer tasting, and beach fun. The space The Extra Room is a spacious apartment overlooking the lush Tillamook Valley just off the Trask River. Tillamook is 70 miles due west of Portland on the central Oregon Coast, which is twenty minutes from Netarts, Oceanside beach, and Cape Mears, an hour & 15 minutes to Cannon Beach, 45 minutes to Pacific City, or an hour and a half to Portland and everything in between. In town, you can visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory, Blue Heron (French Cheese, wine tasting, petting zoo), Pelican Brewing Company, De Garde brewery, the Pioneer Museum, the Farmer's Market, Latimer Textile Center to follow the quilt square tour, or head to the beach a mere 20 minute scenic drive away. We are close to fishing, clamming, kayaking, cycling, hiking, and good seafood eats. Many visitors enjoy the coastal train, OCSR. A comfy queen bed, kitchenette, and private entrance await you. In the apartment is a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dining table, shower, DirecTV, Netflix,web access, and board games. The queen bed is perfect for two; and there is a full fold-out futon sofa. There is ample free parking and a yard, picnic table, and view to enjoy. This is a great place to sleep in and relax. There is a coastal bus that provides transportation from Portland, Salem and along the Oregon Coast. The bus connects to other systems on the north end of Washington and south on to California. There is also a town loop. Although this space is all on the lower level with no stairs to navigate, it is not actually handi-capable because of the gravel access path to the door and no roll-in shower. There is also a steep hill at the lawn border which requires supervision of children or elderly. Guest access You enter the apartment by key. This is your space during your stay and we do not enter until you inform us you have checked out. Other things to note There is a full kitchen with pots, pans, mixing bowls, utensils, etc. We have a full refrigerator, oven, stove, and microwave. We have air-conditioning that we seldom need here on the coast; we'll be glad to turn it on should you like things cooler. We leave breakfast items for guests to prepare should they like. We realize you may get in late and need to have a slow start that first morning.
